There are two ways to eliminate pimples: by preventing them in the first place and by treating them properly when they occur.

Preventing Pimples

Acne and blackheads are collections of material under the skin. Bacterial infections are the most common form. In many cases, limiting the amount of fatty acids in the skin can help substantially. Diets that are high in fat and oil usually worsen the symptoms.

Cleaning the Skin

Opening blocked pores can allow the body to kill and remove the bacteria and release the dead cells created in the process. Ordinary soap cleans and dries, but can leave a film that blocks pores. Mild cleaners have been especially designed to clean without damaging the skin. For some people, topical treatments based on alcohol and peroxide (e.g. Clearasil) can help control skin bacteria, but effectiveness can vary among individuals. More aggressive treatments (e.g. AcneStatin) should be discussed with a dermatologist before use.

---

- Wash your face thoroughly twice a day with a mild cleansing agent

- Do NOT touch the pimple or squeeze or pop it, because this can force infection deeper into the skin, or spread the material over nearby skin

- Avoid touching your face, and carry antibacterial wipes to use when you do.

- To make red areas less noticeable, you can use an ice pack for a few minutes to reduce redness

- Try to eliminate stress : the body's healing system works better when the rest of your body is calm.

---

Over the counter acne medicine doesn't work. It will last about a week and then your acne will come back. When doctors say "use a mild soap or cleanser" they say it for this reason. I recommend "cetaphil." It is over the counter and it is not oily. It is antibacterial but it softens your skin and cleans it. It doesn't dry your face severely and it is a cleanser. Soap is bad for your skin. This cleanser will help soothe your pimples and prevent them from becoming red, and it helps soothe scabs so you won't scar. Acne medicines will often attack your pimples, making them more red and irritated.

Doctors will often say "don't pick or pop." But popping isn't a bad idea when you know how to do it right. A lot of people scar because they pop too early. This sometimes shoves the infection deeper into your skin. It isn't pretty. Wait until the pimple gets ripe. By ripe, I mean plump, round, and pointy. If you are patient enough, you should see this white dot on the pimple. The pimple should look as though it is ready to explode. It should be red and very ugly. Wrap tissue paper around your fingers to prevent bacteria and pop the pimple. You should only pop it until the white stuff comes out. If it doesn't, put "neosporin" on it and wait for it to ripen again. If it does, squeeze until blood comes out. Let the blood pool and harden. Then, once the pimple is hard, pick off the hard blood and your skin should be healed with some neosporin.

Any manual handling of pimples or acne can spread germs into the skin, so clean your hands and face with an antibacterial wipe before and after. Things You'll Need

- 3 or more cotton balls

- Lukewarm tap water

- Cup to hold the water in

- Salt

The Method

1. Salt the water thoroughly -- much more than you think it needs.

2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.

3. Wait for 30 - 60 seconds.

4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.

5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-... zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.

6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.

7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.

8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.

9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You've just conquered that giant of a pimple -- forever!

10. Apply honey on the infected area & go to sleep!!

You can also get Tea Tree oil and dab a very small amount on the pimple and it wont be long before it is gone. This is good for just a few pimples

And,

You can get some coconut oil and mix with it lemon. That also makes the skin soft and gets rid of acne. I can answer this!First step is you need to buy this acne medicine that gets rid of it in just 4 days!it got rid of my pimples in 4 days!Buy this kind of acne medicine called:Clearasil Acne Treatment Cream. If you put it on all 4 days it will go away quickly! But here is how to use it:First put some cream on wherever you have a pimple, not too much because it will burn, then let it dry, keep it on all night and morning until you wake up.Step 2:When you get to go to the bathroom get some cold water and wipe off the cream!Just keep doing this for 4 days and it will go away! This really helps me when i have pimples! BAKING SODA for face wash. put some in your hand add a little water until it becomes a paste then use. I started using it after i got off proactive and it worked just as good if not better. it worked waayyy faster too. You can use a drop of tea tree oil ( its all natural). It helps stop the growth of any bacteria. Be sure not to use *too* much, because it will dry out the skin some. Also, to reduce the swelling of the pimple area, do ice treatments (hold ice wrapped in foil with a paper towel wrapped around it) and apply the ice for about ten minutes. Hope it helps! What I've found really useful is using tea tree oil on a cotton bud and rubbing it on the spot, it reduces the look of redness and makes it less pronounced.

Another good trick for spots is to get an icecube and wrap it in a flannel and place it over the spot for 5-10 minutes, again it reduces the redness and makes the spot less pronounced but it will take a little time. It has been working for me! Products containing tree oil.

Answer:

Try to keep your skin clean always, if you are the type of people who squeeze them, try to do it when everything is clean, but also try to NOT do it very often. If you don't squeeze them try to put some alcohol on it . If you already have scars because you squeezed them before drink vitamin a and e, or put some Capent (what the moms put on the babies, when the skin irritates) in the zone where you have them.

I have pimples myself, and I squeezed them, now I have red marks, because I started doing it TOO much, so I advice you not to squeeze them.
There is a bunch of different kind of pimple remedies that people can use I'm 13 I've tried a bunch because i have had them since i was 11 i hate them .but I'm still trying to get rid of them try going on you-tube and see what other people try and see which one is good for you. One pimple remover that people say works is Baking soda and water. I've never tried this myself but a lot of people recommend it. What you do is add a good amount of Baking soda into a small cup. Then add some water. Mix together until the mixture is a paste. Leave on for about an hour. But only try this home ache remover if you have ROUGH skin otherwise you'll have NO skin left. I really hope this helped. :D

Adding on to what she said... NEVER EVER USE MAKEUP TO COVER UP PIMPLES. They make problems worse. They can clog up your pores, forming new pimples as well. But if need some pimple-covering right away, use a tiny bit of concealer. Not too much. I heard about using gel-free toothpaste to get rid of pimples, but they don't always work on everybody. For small, new pimples, you can use an ice cube. Try your best to rinse your face thoroughly everyday. Use eyedrop products can reduce pimple redness. There are some fruits and vegatables that can prevent from more pimples forming...

Bananas

Carrots

Cucumber

Broccoli

Lemons

Grapefruit

Strawberries

Blackberries

Remember, makeup can't solve everything!

Psst. Face masks helped me manage my acne. (I used bananas, honey and lemons) well, you can't really , the best thing to do is get spot cream recommended by your doctor . Every teen go through it even i am now before i go to bed i was my face with soap and water and the pat tee tree oil on my face and in the morning my face is smooth and soft try that .If it doesn't work then i don't no . heres a trick......i experienced it and now its time for you to try......

when ever you are having pimples lape any fraganant cream over it...with in five mins it will disapear.....try it !!!!

regards, There is a product sold at Walmart called. ZapZyt. It works wonders, just apply it to the pimple and WA-LA! The best way to get rid of any acne is to recognize that acne is a symptom of poor diet; trans-fats atop inbalanced, carbohydrate-rich eating, no Omega 3 in the diet, etc. Adjust diet--which will express itself in other ways, also--and treat the cause, or buy some temporary relief--most likely with unknown side effects--and treat your symptoms.
Just put some toothpaste on it over night every night until its gone and in a week or two it should be gone
there are a lot of ways to remove pimples . there are a lot of creams and face washes available in market but the most fastest way to remove pimples is -

APPLY FRESH MIX JUICE OF PAPAYA , POTATO AND CUCUMBER ON EFECTED AREA FOR 10 - 15 MINUTES . THIS IS BEST WAY TO REMOVE PIMPLES . IN ONE DAY YOU CAN FEEL THE IMPROVEMENT . It depends on what type of hair you have

Bangs( for girls) : wash your hair everyday shampoo twice and then use cetaphil gentle care

No bangs ( girl or boy): I recommend the brand cetaphil, use the gentle Skin Care version

You can get cetaphil at target

If cetaphil doesn't work for your skin try using other products like acne free
You have to eat properly eat more vegetables and fruits that's what my doctor told me to do. .
Zits are a tough things almost everyone has to go through during hormonal changes. Everyone wants to know the secret to getting rid of them. Try washing your face with foam pro active with a warm wash cloth when you wake up and before you go to bed. For tough zits try clean and clear.
Wash your face with a gentle scrub. If this opens the zit, push lightly on the skin around the zit to let the oils out, and then wash your face again. If it does not open the zit do not pop it, just scrub your face again the next day. Pat your face dry with a clean towel.

Put a zit medication on your zit. Anything from the drugstore that is called "acne medication" will work. A low percentage of salicylic acid as the main ingredient is good if you don't get many zits. A 10% benzoyl peroxide medication is the strongest over the counter you can get, don't get this if you have very sensitive skin.
To get rid of a zit there are many ways.... if you find it at night, the best way is to take steaming hot water on a wash cloth and gentle rest it apon the blemish; Be sure not to apply to skin, its HOT!!! Afterwards [once the area has become more red] apply an Oil-Free Acne Wash by Neutrogena or Burts Bees to get that deep pore cleansing,

Good Luck! (:
Begin by purchasing a skin care system. It doesn't matter if you are a girl or a boy, face washes are for everyone. Try ProActive or Clean and Clear. Start by washing your face morning and night.

Don't touch your face often either. This will spread dirt and oils on your skin, clogging up the pores, causing more pimples. Also, try using a facial mask at least once or twice a week, to deep cleanse your pores.

If you wear makeup, try the oil free kind. This will keep the pores from clogging. Also, wear a sunscreen when going out. This will help clear it up too.

I just wash my face everyday with soap and water. Use warm water to wet your face and then use a soap that will not dry your skin out and then wash for 3-5 minutes and then rinse with cool water to close the pores up so no dirt or grime gets in there.

A good & working acne product is AcneFree. This is a 3-step process that has steps 1 2 and 3.

1.Purifying Cleanser You can do it stick to one program and don't stop until you get what you want and thats a zit free totally clean smoth face.

2.Renewing Toner

3.Repair Lotion.

I must say that I am currently using this product and that it works well. This product is availible at Wal-Mart in the face wash cleansers next to the make-up section.

If this product does not work for you, try other products until you find the one thats right for you.

or you can skip all the confusion and wash youur face with soap day and night and don't touch your face at all use soap that does not dry your face :)
first soak a face towel or clothe in boiling hot water then place the hot towel on your face or where the zit is for 10-15 minutes then ta ke a needle and poke the zit ONLY ONCE let it bleed and DO NOT TOUCH! then apply acne cream on it for the whole night then it should heel in a couple days.

hope this helps!

Well what work is: You put eyebrow wax where it is then you peel it off Next you wash your face with just water. And it might look bad but the next day your face is clear. And really smooth. Ive done this just yesterday too.:)

Along the lines of the first answer (you can do that way too). My mom showed me a way to do it. I use this way every time i need to clean up acne, blackheads, and shrink pores in one simple way. All you need is some soap, hot wash-rag, and a facial mud mask ( you can buy all of this from Wal-Mart, your nearest dollar store, or anything like that) . You can also use a facial scrub, my favorite is the "St. Ives Apricot Scrub". It has a strong sandy texture to easily and quickly get rid of dead skin, and gentle enough to not irritate skin or acne )

* all of these products will cost you around 5$ all together ... that's it! *

1.) Wash your face, Soap only if you can. ( hot water, as hot as you can safely withstand . The hot water will open every pore, including the ones you don't see, and a soap product like Dove, Ivory, and others, will dry out your acne. Yes, skin too, but the dryness is needed to dry up the acne, pores, and especially blackheads, it will also wipe away dead skin very easily )

2.) Rinse Your face with warm water. ( Cold water will close every pore, you don't want that )

3.) Let a hot rag sit on your face for about 30 seconds, more or less. If the rag gets cold fast, try warming it up in the warm water again , 2-3 times )

4.) As soon as you can, put on the Mud Mask. Evenly coat it until your skin on your pores, blackheads, and pimples is no longer visible. Let the mud mask dry/harden. I prefer to leave it on over night for the best results, but if you choose to keep it on for a short period of time, i'd give yourself 3-5 hours to spare.

The mask will dry up everything over it's period of time, and BAM, acne free F-a-s-t. This is the best method, and is exactly what acne companies try to get you to use for triple the cost. This will clear up any kind of acne, from little to severe cases. If you do you have severe acne, Repeat this ritual at least 3 times a week for awesome results. Just to mention, it tightens skin wonderfully. You'll notice a difference the by the first use, guaranteed.
fill a bowl with hot water and then steam your face. Trap the steam with a towel. Then immediately wash your face with cold water. Use a paper towel to dry your face since towels have bacteria. Never touch your face with your hands unless you use tissue. Also your diet is very important. Cut out all the grease, oils, dairy, coffee and candy.
Get acne cream and to prevent acne wash your face twice a day with warm water and soap or shampoo.
If I would have acne I would would go to a dermatologist, there they could help you for sure. It's their job.

However if you don't feel don't go to a dermatologist, then you could always read some articles about acne. The most websites would try to sell you a product, but i wouldn't buy them because they are mostly scams. Just read and you'll find your answer.

In my opinion a dermatologist would solve your problem instantly.
I suffered from Acne for years before. While there are so much information out there about and on acne but when it comes to the treatments, some only treat externally or doesn't work well for the long term, for me at least. The acne solution I found actually really helped me be free from chronic acne and you know what - it is a natural home remedy that targets curing from within, which makes sense to me considering my cystic acne erupts from within, not out. Hope this knowledge helps!
Acne can be treated in a variety of ways. The key to treating your acne is to figure out what type of acne you have. There is mild, moderate and severe. Mild acne is typically whiteheads, blackheads, and small pustules. Moderate acne involves more pustules. Sever or cystic acne is very painful and involve large pustules that are deep within your skin. Mild and moderate acne can improve with vitamin A, Retin A, Differin, oral antibiotics like Doryx or Solodyn. You can also use face washes that contain benzoyl peroxide, sulfur or salicylic acid. Severe acne is much harder to treat. Many people go the topical and oral antibiotic route. If that doesn't work, many turn to Accutane. While this drug has proven very successful, it has staggering side effects. If you become pregnant, your baby can be born with serious deformities. You can also experience depression and muscle aches.
Treatment of acne requires meticulous skin care, especially washing and removal of makeup at bedtime and utilizing minimal makeup only when necessary. Severe cases of acne will require prescription strength topical and oral antibiotics such as tetracycline, minocin, erythromycin or clindamycin. Certain foods or environmental factors may exacerbate acne and should be avoided. Severe cystic acne may require much stronger treatment such as accutane or retinoid creams which usually require a consultation with a dermatologist.

Getting rid of acne is VERY difficult if your not using the right products. For a very minor acne case, just splash your face every morning and night with warm/hot water, then DAB dry. If you soak a cloth then rub your face, it will CAUSE acne. Once a week, grab a cloth and make it VERY hot, then put it on your face, until its not longer hot then reapeat twice.

Over the counter products and pills will not help, because the toxins in them. Never use them! Especially things like clean and clear or neutrigina or anything. They don't work.

The only thing is find that worked at least a little is Spectrogell. Or find a glycerin based gel.

I found that G.M Collins worked very well for me. It didnt clear my skin completely though, but it worked. I got it at a beauty salon.

Food: Try drinking lots of lemon water(one slice of lemon would do)

and APPLES is the best product ever. Once ever 5 months, try having a day when u eat only apples. It works!

Also the sun helps dry out the pimples, and it works.
wash your face every night and morning and eat healty food no fried foods and use a cream specilized for getting rid or acne like proactive works great!

this answer can only help the white huge pimples, sadly not the even larger zits! to get started find iodine, talcum powder and cotton buds. First get a cotton bud and dip it in some iodine, then sprinkle some talcum powder on your hand, with clean hands, dip your finger in the talcum powder. Apply it on the iodine and do the method all over again making sure that when you apply the iodine on the talcum powder to make to spot of the iodine smaller than the big spot of the talcum powder, it should look like a sunny side up is on your face! leave it over night. repeat this method for a couple of days(aprox. 3-7) soon you will have a pimple free face! hope it works guys!
