On the newest version of iTunes you can import multiple songs from your Windows Media Player library into your itunes library at one time. This method also works for videos.

Make sure all the songs or vidoes you desire to move are saved into one file in your documents.

Open itunes, click file, click add folder to library, select the folder and click OK.

If your files need converting your itunes will automatically do it for you.

If you wish to put only one song or video in your itunes library

Open itunes, click file, click add file to library, select your file and click OK.

It depends...

If you are trying to import music from CD's then put the Cd into the Mac or p[c and on itunes it should say Do you want to import (blank).

If you are using something else then make a separate folder and go up to the corner of your itunes window and click on it. The drop down screen should say import and then look for your music folder.

If you already have songs on your computer, then when you load iTunes, it should locate them. When I did it, it found all my WAV and MP3 files including short files used by Windows, etc. You should be able to select a command for iTunes to find all your sound files.

save it in there

depending on the file type you might have to save it differently

you can copy and paste it from a different file and you can download it by the internet and click save as and save it into a spediffic media file on your computer or in a media file on your phone using USB

go on a downloading website and download something and save as into a file you may have to click run or unzip the file but as long as it works you'll be fine

Assuming you have the latest version (or a very recent one) of iTunes: Part 1; this makes your computer add any files it uses to its own folder, so that if a file is removed from elsewhere - as is possible especially with a shared folder - it will not be lost from the library. # Click on the 'Edit' menu. # Select 'Preferences'. # Click on the 'Advanced' tab in the popup that appears. # Click the checkbox next to 'Copy files to iTunes music folder whe adding to library'. # Click 'OK'. Part 2; this adds the file/folder to your library. # Click on the 'File' menu. # Select 'Add Folder To Library'. # Browse through until you find the folder you want to add. # Open the folder. # Click 'Select Folder'. The songs should been added. If you wish to add single songs, follow the same process but select 'Add File To Library' at step 2.

Connect your iPod to your computer. If the songs that you want to put on your iTunes library have been purchased from the iTunes store, right-click on the iPod icon and click on the option "Transfer Purchases." All of your purchased items on your iPod will be transfered. If you don't want a certain item, wait until it is completely transferred and then delete it.
