I don't know whether it was super glue or gorilla glue, but I had a lot of it in little splotches on my white island counter top. It's been there for at least two years, I've tried magic erasers with no luck. Today I did an internet search and found this page, got out my acetone nail polish remover and a very fine steel wool pad(for refinishing wood), and my magic eraser. The trick was to soak either a cotton ball or magic eraser and the steel wool with the nail polish remover, and rub the spots. - Lo and behold the spots are gone!

Let it dry, gently sand it down to the surface of the wood, then apply oil or wax with a stain that matches the color of the wooden cabinet. In severe cases you may have to sand the entire surface, then re-stain and re-varnish (or re-paint).
