You step on the switches under the bumper cars (when they are not there) in the order that it shows on the wall. You will die very often in this part, so be warned.
The canister purge valve on a 98 Eclipse is located on the front of the car. It is on the right corner of the bumper.
The charcoal canister should be on the passenger side of a 2001 Cavalier. It should be close to the front bumper.

you will find the canister on the right side inside the front bumper just remove the plastic splash guard inside the wheel well
the vent is thru the carbon canister. Mine was plugged. It is a black box located under the back bumper. It has the charcoal canister and purge valve in it.
On the back underneath the trunk. The black box between the Mufler & bumper area.

In the back of the car on the driver side. Right next to the bumper there is a black box with 2 hoses coming out of it
Its right in the back by the bumper in my 1998. You will see 2 hoses come of the filler hose that go right to it.
carbon canister located just behind back bumper. It's in a black plastic box with the carbon canister and purge valve. Mine was backing up the fuel when trying to fuel up. It was plugged.
It is located behind the left rear (drivers side) bumper extension, if you look directly in the wheel well opening to the rear you will see the heads of two bolts. The other 2 nuts are located behind the bumper, should be accessible when you remove the bumper pad, hope this helps
