You have to multiply the radius by 2. for example, if the radius is 3, the diameter is 6. Pi x 6=circumference

How do you find the area of a circle if you only know its circumference?

Divide its circumference by 2*pi which will give the radius of the circle. Area of the circle then is pi*radius squared

What is the formula for finding the circumference of a circle when you only know the radius?

Circumference = 2 x pi x radius

What is the radius of a circle if you only know the circumference?

Easy. If you only have the circumference, divide it by Pi (about 3.1416). This gives you the diameter. Next, divide the diameter by two to get the radius.

How does the circumference compare to the radius of the circle?

Well the radius is only half of the line on the circle the circumference is all around

How do you find the circumference of a circle without knowing the area?

To find the circumference of a circle, you need only know the radius or diameter of the circle. The circumference of a circle is calculated as 2 x Pi x radius OR Pi x diameter. Pi is approximately 3.1415926.

How do you get the circumference of a circle with only radias?

circumference = 2*pi*radius

What is the radius of a circle if you only know the perimeter?

Divide the perimiter, or circumference, by pi (3.1415), which is the diamter, then divide that by 2 to get the radius

What is the relationship between the Radius to the circumference?

The circumference is ALL the way around the circle, while the radius is only HALF way into the middle of the circle. I'm guessing you meant "What is the relationship between the radius of a circle and its circumference?" Radius is half of the diameter of a circle, circumference is PI times diameter; therefore, the circumference is PI times two times radius.

How do you find the raduis of a circle knowinng only the circumference?

Radius = circumference/pi

How do you find the radius of a circle when only given the circumference?

Divide the circumference by (2*pi)

How do know how to make out circumference and diameter if you only know the radius?

If you know the radius, then Diameter = 2 x (radius) Circumference = (pi) x (diameter) or Circumference = 2 x (pi) x (radius)

How do you find cicumference with only knowing the radius?

To find the circumference of a circle you multiply pi, usually rounded to 3.12, by the radius. The formula for the circumference of a circle is 2*pi*radius. So double your radius, then multiply by pi, which is approximately 3.14159265 So if I had a circle of radius 2, my circumference would be 2*3.14*2 = 12.56 Good Luck!
