It may be in a place in your camera that has an opening, not the place to charge, but a bigger place perhaphs. In the corner there is a little card, 1 inch-2 and that may be, if there is nothing there, Then you bought the camera without the memory card best place to buy them : Best Buy, Rite Aid, i suggest technologys places !
For every Coolpix camera I have used, you first remove the battery, then push slightly down on the top of the SD card, which will release the catch and cause the card to rise up enough so you can get hold and pull it out. More than that, I can't say without you specifying the exact camera model.
When you have a memory card inside the camera you have to press down on it. it should pop out easily. if not you may have inserted the card incorrectly. in this case you should contact the camera manufacturer or go to get it repaired.
The specific method depends on the make and model of the camera. Have a look on the maker's website for information. Basically, go in to your camera settings, look for a camera symbol and an SD card symbol. You should be able to copy the photos from the camera memory to a memory card in system settings.
I think a better question is why is there a memory card in a CD drive?
well first of all you put the memory card in the card reader not the CD drive so you should probably open up the case and get it out of there
No. Games are saved onto a memory card or a hard drive not the CD it self.
Yes.

The memory card is what the digital files are stored on. If you have no memory card in your camera there is nowhere for the camera to store the files. It is like not putting a film in a film camera or trying to burn a CD with no CD inserted to the drive. No Some digital cameras have internal memory so you don't need a memory card. I figured this out 2 minutes before I saw this question.
Hard drive, Flash drive, Disc drive (cd), a camera memory card and a device not used any more is the Floppy disc drive
1) A hard drive 2) A memory card reader 3) A floppy drive 4) A CD/DVD/Blu-Ray drive
Let's see: Harddrive Solid State Memory (RAM) Optical (DVD / CD / Etc) Memory Cards? (SD Memory / CF Memory / Etc) Technically the last would be the same as RAM, but it isn't used the same. RAM is used in most computers as temporary memory. This memory only retains information while power is provided to it. Once the power is removed then it loses everything. With a memory card type of memory such as NAND type of memory, information stored in the memory card is retained even when the power is removed (USB memory sticks / SD memory / etc).
READ ONLY MEMORY aka Temporary memory
No you need the memory card
Unsure as to your context, but I imagine it means a CD/DVD, Hard Drive, USB stick, or memory card adapter.
