Alternatively, if you've already done that at least once, you could Fly there.

∙ 9y agoSave the power plant. Go to the radio tower in lavender town, and talk to a guy who gives you a second radio card. Go to the snorelax that is blocking the way to diglets cave. Put the pokegear on the station that says pokeflute. Exit the pokegear, and put it on the ground. Fight the Snorelax. Go through Diglets cave and go north to Pewter City.

∙ 13y agoIn the Viridian city, the first town from Pallet Town, the gym is closed so you will go north. You will need to get through Viridian Forest to get to Pewter City. After you get past the forest, the Pewter City gym is just straight ahead north.
