my '94 could only be accessed from underneath
I have a '96 Dodge Grand Caravan eith the 3.8 engine and the Haynes book I have says to get the back plug on the passengers side the alternator bracket needs to be removed. I found this to be true and made that one plug fairly easy to remove. The other two are fairly accessable from underneath. I put the front of my van up on jackstands and got to the other two from that direction.
Changing them from up above doesnt work. After removing the intake manifold it is still barely possible to access the plugs from the top of the van. The firewall gets in the way.
my mom has a 2001 with the 3.8, i found the easiest way was to loosen the motor mounts and roll the motor forward
