How do you get to the back of the radio in a 1993 Toyota pick up to replace the antenna?

You will have to remove the cover then the radio it self. I believe that the fender needs to come off to replace the base & mast on that model.(I could be mistaken) Then youll need to feed the wire back from the fender to the radio. Put it all back together, but make sure you get the fender in alignment so it doesn't catch the door. I hope i was some help, sorry if i was not.

I know that the antenna runs down to below the steering column. I think that you need to unplug it from the back of the radio as well. Is there any easy way to replace an old one?

To connect the radio antenna on a 1993 Ford F-150, the back of the radio needs to be exposed under the dash. Plug the radio antenna wire into the back of the radio and tighten the nut.
