top of engine bay 2ft or longer extension 13mm swivel socket
I have a 1999 mercury cougar v6 2.5 liter engin and it needed a two bolt lower control arm on the passenger side
NO Chevy did not make a 3 bolt starter. It only requires 2 bolts.
It should be the same as for a 2002 Mercury Cougar which is answered in WikiAnswer under the Question; " How to remove alternator from a 2002 Mercury Cougar 2.5L V6." The 2000 Cougar may be different by having an upper alternator BOLT. If it does, and you can't lift the bolt out (after fully loosening the bolt), lower the alternator and you can, then, lift the bolt out. When you begin to install the alternator (attach the power wire, and the wire connector) place the BOLT in the upper hole in the alternator, and THEN, raise the alternator to install.
trunk hinges or seat bolt
Hi there, it is 5-108 mm. Hope this helps...
The 2000 Mercury Cougar (V6) came equipped in two tires sizes of 205/60/15 and 215/50/16. The offset and backspacing vary by wheel type (factory or aftermarket). The bolt pattern is 4-108 for this model.
I believe it's either a 40 or 45.
The starter is mounted on the passenger side of the transmission. It has one wire connected to it (with a small bolt) and there are two bolts holding the starter in.
Go to your local auto parts store and ask them for an easy out bolt extractor.
There is no way to fix a catalytic converter for a 1987 Mercury Cougar, since it is a sealed and unrepairable item. Once it goes bad, you must jack up the car, unbolt the old converter, then put a new one in its place and bolt it in.
Disconnect the battery. Unhook the starter wires. Remove the two bolts on the starter. Take the starter out, and bolt the new one in. Reverse the procedure to finish the installation.
Simply unbolt the old one and bolt the new one on, there is no trick to it.
