The easiest way to get to Paddington from Heathrow is using the train - it's an express one & take 15 mins. I think it costs about 15 pounds. You can get there by tube but it'll take you a lot longer (maybe just over an hour). Take the Piccadilly line to Piccadilly Circus & then change to the Bakerloo line. Take the Bakerloo north to Paddington. The tube will cost around 6 pounds.
You can take a bus, tube, or a taxi. Heathrow express tube (Piccadily line) takes you to Paddington station and you can take a taxi to Bayswater or take the tube and change at Earls court to District line to Bayswater. If you have luggage the first option will be better . You can also take the heathrow connect tube which will be cheaper but takes 15 minutes extra and runs every 30 mins. You can book your tickets online at heathrow express.com or heathrow connect.com
Take the tube to central London. Change at Earl's Court to the District and Circle Line. Bayswater is near Paddington, just a few stops from Earl's Court.
Take the tube to Tower Hill

Considering the terrain, sadly it's not possible to see any specific sights in central London. During take-off and landing, a virtual panorama of sights is provided, ranging from the stunning Windsor Castle, when departing, or the silhouettes of London as your aircraft positions itself for landing. Some describe it as watching the introduction to the soap series 'Eastenders.' If you're using LHR as merely a transit point, keep in mind that you're literally only fifteen minutes away now from Paddington Station by using the Heathrow Express. Many travellers who have a stopover of four-five hours, make the rapid jaunt into town, just to do some (frantic) shopping at Fortnums, Harvey Nichols, or even have their photo taken at Piccadilly Circus. What's life without a bit of whimsy?
