I've heard that if you beat your rival in front of the battle tower about a thousand - two thousand times you can go to the different regions. I mean, you can get all of thePokemon from Kanto and Hoenn really easily from pal park and ruby/sapphire firered/leafgreen, but there isn't a game boy advance game for Johto. So, in conclusion, there has to be a way to get to Johto in pearl/diamond, ruby/sapphire, or firered/leafgreen. I'll keep looking on to this though.
