How do you get bombs on The Legend of Zelda links awakening?

Go to windfall island after trying to go to Jabun's island, and the pirates are there. Go to the bomb shop and listen for the password. Go to the pirate ship and try to open the door. You'll be asked a password and answer it. Nikko the pirate will give you a timed challenge, and the prize are 30 bombs

First you have to have some in your bomb bag. Then you have to be underwater, usually wearing the Zora Armor. Then you have to EQUIP YOUR IRON BOOTS. You must be wearing them - you can't use water bombs while swimming. Then you can use them like ordinary bombs.
