Is there a way to get better at Halo 3?

The main thing you want to do is get better at head shots, and the best way to do that is play team SWAT. The only way to play team SWAT is if you have all the DLC except Mythic until the August update and then you will need Mythic. One you get pretty good with head shots the next thing is to play team snipers, it can get frustrating but you will need to be a good sniper when you play against rank 45s and 50s. Once you are very good with a sniper and a BR you will be able to take on Generals.

Well first, you start the game. Then, you continue on through story mode until you reach the part where you are watching the credits. There you go! That's when you know that you've beaten Halo 3 (stick around the credits and watch someting cool unfold)

Get to know tu know you. This may sound silly but u need to find your strengths and weaknesses. So sniping, battle rifle - mid distance - automatic spraying. If you are average at all choose battle rifle, once perfect you become a very good player. Then you need to perfect these strengths and improve your weaknesses. Also learn the maps, learn the sniping positions, where a lot of traffic is. ( where most of the game is faught) You need to work as a team, if you are going to snipe then cover the your spraying guys and vica versa. In your team talk to each other, tell positions of enemies and ways to work as a team to win. lots of jumping and unusual walking directions will help you not to get sniped or shot thus meaning you can kill them quicker. And basically be more aware and make sure you check every corner. You are more use to your team by getting 5 kills a game and 1 death than getting 15 kills a game and 25 deaths

In Halo 3 matchmaking, there are social and ranked playlists. Each ranked playlist has a separate skill number from 1 to 50. The true-skill system is very complicated but in general you play with those of a similar skill and the skill will rise if you win games in that playlist however it will go down if you lose. The highest skill is simply the skill that is highest of these playlist.

I was a brigadier in halo 3 along time ago, typically ranking up is simple and there are two ways to do it. Earn lots and lots of Exp or gain a strong higher skill. Double Exp is a very effective method of doing this but for the Halo 3 Pro's ranking up comes down to doing well in ranked match making, take an experienced friend into team doubles and completely destroy your opponents this will gain you higher skill.

Ive since the game came out i just stopped playing cause ive played it to much,but to answer your question. Im a brigader grade 2, it takes a while to get good since there are so many GOOD players. Just practice alot and try to use alot of team work, and use battle rifle its one of the best to use GL.

Halo Is an interesting game. its a good game to get good at, a lot of rewarding bragging rights. How to get good is to ind out what control settings your like best, find what sensitivity you are comfortable with. and then go out and practice. I am no inhereter, But i sure do give them the time of their life (sarcasm, they hate me) i played Infectiong/flood for a year. just getting good at something. thats when i took up the slayers servers. I was having a lot of fun there kicking butt. Frankly you need to find out what kind of fighter you are. I say there are 2 different kinds...

The Berserker: who does well with a shotgun, explosives, and frankly likes the Scorpoin for some reason.

The Ranger: Ranger doesn't mean Awesome. i means you use ranged weapons. You win every DMR duel. thats the only way you win.

im more of the berserker. they usually need a high sensitivity for turning around quickly (don't get assassinated...)

I know a Ranger. He gets headshots to a stupid point. i don't know how he does it. he just pulls the trigger and the bullet hits my head.

But Halo requirs a lot of skill. you need to find your own way of getting awesome though. Its not something you can read a book on and suddenly get awesome. just practice. find what you are. find what kind of skills you have. Shooting. sticking. its all complicated.

you keep playing on the ranked matches in matchmaker and winning you will earn xp which will make your rank improve but bye losing or quitting matches your rank will decrease

You can try playing double exp weekend games on the weekend. Friday - Sunday u can get 2 exp for every win.
