How do you increase the middle range of temperatures on a faucet when it is difficult to get anything other than very hot or very cold water?
Install a Posi-Temp faucet.
Of course, by turning the hot water faucet to the direction where the flow of hot water increases, with no specific direction depending on the style of the knob or faucet, but normally the hot water faucet is on the left and hot water flow is left , usual case to make water flow increase is towards the right, but this varies nowadays that there are so much styles of faucets.
Replacing a kitchen faucet can be easy or extremely difficult depending on how old your faucet your replacing is and what kind of K sink you have. If you look under your k sink and see chrome supply lines to your faucet then you are better off replacing those as well, and in many cases I usually replace the supply lines just to be sure they wont leak with stainless braided. Turn off the water…
My parents went through this when they moved into there house. It is an older house. They ended having a plummer replace some and clean out the pipes. There was alot of calcium and mineral build up inside the lines. If it is just this outside faucet maybe you could just replace this pipe with new one. The faucet itself could be clogged. Good luck.

How can you increase your water pressure if it is really slow on a newly replaced kitchen faucet even though it was fine with the old faucet?
If this faucet has a spray hose, turn on the faucet and open the spray hose. This will adjust the diverter in the kitchen faucet to the spray and pressureize the hose. This will allow the faucet to equilize and the sputter will stop if the spray diverter is working. It could be that the diverter part in the faucet is defective.
The simple machines in a faucet are: # A wheel and axle. # A lever (the handle). # Gears (probably inside the faucet). I'm pretty sure these simple machines are in a faucet, but I'm not sure if there are others. I've never looked into a faucet before...so, no experience. Thanks for reading my answer!
