you can use a simple heating pad and a room that has good humidity.

No, a heating pad wil never work. There is no way to keep the eggs at a constant 102 degrees, which is what they need. And the humidity must be far higher than a heating pad could produce. In fact, a heating pad will dry the egg out and kill it very quickly.

In its basic form, a fertilized egg needs to be consistently kept at a relatively warm temperature throughout the incubation period. The preferred egg incubation temperature range can be found at numerous websites.

A heating pad may be useable as a source of heat to maintain the temperature, but introduces concerns related to safety and temperature stability.

Most heating pads include electrically resistive material that is woven into a cloth pad. Most heating pads now have built-in timers and temperature controls. You want to make sure the heating pad does not get wet, does not get damaged, and does not come into direct contact with the egg.

What you may want to do is to create a nursery, possibly in a plexi-glass tank (like a gerbil tank or fish tank), that contains only the heating pad and the egg. The egg should not come into physical contact with the heating pad, but the heating pad should be deployed around the egg in a manner that provides consistent temperature across the outer surface of the egg. One suggestion is to have the heating pad shaped like a tube standing on end with the egg inside. You can decide what the temperature control setting should be by using a thermometer to measure the temperature and adjust the control to achieve the desired temperature.

The egg still needs to be rolled regularly, and you should set up a rotation cycle and check off list to be sure it gets done. That also allows you to regularly check your setup to ensure that it is safe and the egg is not over-heated or under-heated.

I have never done this (I just use a hen).I am merely applying known principles to solve a problem. It may or may not work in practice.

Have fun!

Technically its possible but difficult to maintain the right temperature and humidity levels. I have used make shift incubators woth heating pads in 2 emergency situations where the eggs were close to hatch. I had duck eggs which need more humidity to hatch and my levels were not good. I lost the babies. Also with auto turn off you have to reset the heating pad. Every 2 hours. So while it may work its extra hard and not advisable if you can use an incubator do

You will probably not be successful. Eggs need to be maintained at a certain temperature and at certain humidity in order to hatch. Your best bet is an incubator.

No. It would get too hot, as heating pads are up to 110 degrees.

How can you incubate chicken eggs without an incubator?

Set up a box to use as a nest and use a 60w-75w incandescent globe to provide heat. (If you have a thermometer - about 100 degrees F is good.) Roll the eggs each day using moist fingers (this provides the small amount of humidity required.) Chicken Eggs take approximately 21 days to hatch. By the end of the first week you will be able to candle the eggs and see the veins forming and even the embryo's eye! Around the 18th day you may be able to hear "peeping" and pecking from inside the egg. Don't be tempted to "help" the bird - it may hatch too early and die. If you don't have a globe or a lamp, you can do what I do - I pad out our Towel Heater with towels and form a "cradle" at the back - sitting the eggs between the towel heater and the wall. The temperature seems to be perfect for hatching eggs.

Will eggs hatch even without a heating pad Cause i can't find a incubator and my chicken keep on breaking the eggs and eating them . I would like to have some chicks but i dont know what to do?

Eggs will not hatch if they have not been incubated either by a hen or by an incubator. And it's not the chickens that are breaking and eating your eggs. It's snakes, rats, raccoons, opossums and other such animals. I suggest you strengthen your coups defenses or bye/make an incubator otherwise you will never have your eggs hatch out.
