The iMac's microphone is located on the top surface above the camera. If you look very closely you can see some small holes. That's the mic.

∙ 13y agoAs shown in the diagram on page 16 of the MacBook Pro User's guide the microphone is located under the speaker grille on the left of the keyboard.

∙ 11y agoIf you look on the very top of the screen just above the camera you will see a very tiny hole the size of a pin. That is the microphone. Speakers are located on the bottom of the screen.
