Last time I checked there was NO "Clutch Cable" it is a Hydraulic System. Good Luck and Remember.

The speedometer does not have a cable on a 1994. It is run by a sesnor on the rear of the trans/t-case.

There is NO adjustment on that year. You either have a BAD Clutch slave cylinder are the clutch and pressure plate is worn out.

Why don't you take it to a mechanic before you ruin your truck by riding the clutch? The chattering could be engine knock because your engine is out of tune. When you ride the clutch, the clutch slips and puts less strain on your engine as you are burning out your clutch.

Bearings are dirt cheap-never install a used one.

S-10 is the small truck and the 1500 is a full size truck

You have to pull the tranny. Might as well put a new clutch disc and pressure plate while you re in there as well.

User Avatar

You CAN"T. If you are having clutch problems then it is time for aNEW clutch kit and clutch slave cylinder too. NO ADJUSTMENT

There should be a mark indicating a left side and right side for the cable. The top connection will have a clip to remove the cable. It just slides on the cable post inside the tailgate door housing. The bottom connection requires the post to be removed. This is a torx tips screw, but I was successful with pliers. Remove the screw and make sure the cable connection notch is pointing up when you replace the screw.

Check to see if your truck has sealed bearings, if it does then the entire spindle unit is replaced as a unit. This was the case on my 2005.
