First you need to do some research and find out where your car was made. There are some different sized parts internally (pilot bearing, flywheel). One type is California/ruville, the other Japan/Non-california. I would highly recommend buying the flywheel than re surfacing...the price is cheap, the original has been in the car for many years now, and you can press your pilot bearing ahead of time. To find out your car go to this website and break the VIN down. http://www.autohausaz.com/honda-auto-parts/honda-vehicle-identification-numbers.html http://www.dmv.org/vehicle-history.php Here is a site to an install on a newer civic...pretty much the same. You will probably have to create an account but it is fast, free, and will probably save you a lot of time in the end. http://www.honda-Acura.net/forums/showthread.php?t=139802 One last thing I would recommend researching is the removal of the CV joints. If you have never removed them you need understand how to properly do so and not end up with a pile of parts on the shop floor...trust me you will be very upset! Good Luck, Mike
