How do you install a heater box on a 1969 beetle?
You first have to take the passenger side (bottom) dashboard out. You then remove (approx) 3 bolts from the inside and (approx) 2 nuts from the motor side. The heater core is inside the heater box. When the box comes off, you then remove the heater core from the box - after removing about 6-8 screws. It is more difficult than it sounds.
Geo heater core The dashboard and instrument cluster have to come out to gain accsess to heater box (white box next to a/c).The heater box splits in half. Remove metal tube to gain accsess. Answer I have water dripping from under the dash on the passenger side of my 1994 Yukon . Could that be my heater core and is that an easy fix ?
Would depend on what year impala On a 63 impala or many of the early ones you need to remove the passener side fender. The remove the power wire from the blower motor. Then remove the heater hoses. then remove the heater box from the fire wall. the heater core is inside that box. Newer models I am not familiar with
The Heater Core is located in the Air distribution box underneath the Interior dash. It is very hard to get to. In order to access the heater core, you must remove the steering wheel, center column, center dash and entire dash assembly, the central roll bar and the large and heavy air distribution box itself.
