fIRST DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL FROM THE BATTERY. Then make sure that you have the right wiring harness for your car, The radio has it owns.Either you plug the wire harness into the car wiring harness, or you might have to splice the wiring according to the colors that are matching. Red is power, black is ground, blue is remote. Make sure that the wires are not touching cause it will blow the radio fuse(remember undo negative terminal). Now match the wires for the speakers, each wire has a different color so you can't get confused. also make sure that you have a radio kit for the housing.

Well, mine is an '02 and there are two screws at the bottom of the trim that surrounds the radio and climate control. Then there are four bolts holding the radio in place, one at each corner. You may have disconnect the harnesses for lighting and climate contols to get that whole trim piece out of your way. Hope this helped.
It's a good idea to buy your radio at Crutchfield since they provide an illustrated guide. First step is to take out the dash panels. Remove the glove box screws and set glove box aside. Starting with the screw facing the door on the passenger side of the dash, remove the rest of the screws and pull to release tabs. Remove the small trim piece at the bottom of the center stack (4 screws). With these trim pieces pulled away, the hidden screws in the center stack are revealed. Unscrew these along with the visible screws. Remove the screws in the trim piece above the drivers knees, and pull away. Remove hidden screws from center stack trim and pull away. Uncouple the connecting harness for the cigarette lighter and climate controls. The center stack cover can pull away. Like the other trim pieces, it may require a pull. The radio is connected by Phillips screws approx an inch back from the front, approximately the middle of the unit. There is an access hole to remove the screws on both sides. There is a harness connecting the radio. To remove it, must push the tab on the top with the tip of a screw driver. Unclip the antenna as well.
...everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and the local library should have a professional shop manual available, to make copies of, in the Reference section...good luck:)
No it will be a 5 digit #'s only. If you don't have the code your the original selling dealer may or you have to get the serial # off the back of the radio (you have to take it out) and take that to a Honda dealer and they can give it to you.
means the anitheft kicked in. It happened to me when we changed the battery in my 1998 Honda accord lx. It does this so when someone steals your radio they can't use it, not that it works that well cause you can just call in the serial number on the radio and get the 5 digit code.Which is what your going to have to do. take out the radio and get the code cause the dealer will charge you a 99$ labor fee. Good luck
I just changed mine, you have to take the screws out of the pieces below the radio so you can get to some more screws which are located on a bracket beneath the radio! The radio will slide out with the bracket attached! Not a 5 minute job!
with the radio s/n number you will have to get the reset code through a Honda dealer with the radio s/n number you will have to get the reset code through a Honda dealer
