Surely you have an owners manual on a brand new car. Open it and read the maintenance schedule. If it has a timing belt it will be listed as an item to be replaced.

As I know Elantra 2007 (HD) with 1.6 engine (Gamma 1.6D) has chain timing train not the regular belt like 2.0 version with BETA 2.0D engine.
