The dash needs to come out, at least pulled away as far as it can without disconnecting the wiring... the strips on the dash just unclip, the strip up by the window has screws across, about 5, remove the panel under the dash, drop the column, there are a couple nuts on studs, big ones on the drivers side, smaller on passenger side. the pass side needs to come out further, but it will be enough to get all the screws and then pull the air box out, watch out for the vaccum lines and control cables, they need to come off, make sure they go back on the same, also be carefull putting the heater hoses back on, you can break the outlet if your not carefull, put wd40 or soapy water on the hose ends so it will go on easy. A chiltons book will spell it out for ya, it is doable, allocate about a day or day and a half. Good Luck
