jack up front end, drop both bolts out of the torsion keys, knock both bars out then put new keys in
is there a "special tool" to put torsion keys on a ranger
Take the truck to your local Chevy dealer and have them adjust the torsion bars to lift the front and then do a realignment. About 100 bucks. New torsion bar keys are not needed.
follow the tbars toward the rear of the truck. you will see that they go into a set of "keys" located in the crossmember. the adjustment screws are those screws that go up into the crossmember and hit the tbar keys.
The cast of The Black Keys Live - 2005 includes: The Black Keys as Themselves
I own a 1989 dodge Dakota and it has torsion bars that can be raised and lowered. Just follow the torsion bars from the front to the back and look at where they stop there should be a 7/8 bolt that you can turn clockwise to raise the truck and counter clockwise to lower it
Jack up the front end. Take out the huge bolts on either side of the truck underneigh both doors. Using a hammer tap the torsion bar of out the torsion bar key. Put the torsion bar into the key, tighten the big bolt to the exact height as it was installed previously.I highly recommend getting a full alignment afterwords.
