This question is typically given to younger students to get them to be creative with packaging materials and experiment with different methods of absorbing impact forces. Over the years my students have been sucessful with many different methods but the fun is really in working as a team sharing results, trying things out for yourself and getting to make a mess!
Here are some idea -
1) Use bubble wrap in many layers fastened with sticky tape.
2) Box the egg in cardboard and fill with the box with flour.
3) Put the egg in a plastic water container (they used a infants plastic thermos flask) filled with water.
If the question doesn't put any restrictions on you try thinking about some more inventive ideas. Could you be 2 meters high but drop the egg off the edge of the building? Could you build a ramp for the egg to roll down? Could you attact a bungy to the egg so it doesn't hit the floor even though it gets dropped. Remember its not gravity that smashes eggs - its the floor!
(I'd say: Leave it in the chicken.)
I'm assuming you are asking this for a science experiment, in which you will probably be able to use other materials. Idea #1: Cut off a toy soldiers parachute and tape it to your egg, or simply make your own parachute with a plastic bag, string, and tape. It will make a big difference in impact. Idea #2: Bubble wrap! Take a big wad of bubble wrap and wrap your egg in it a few times, making sure to cover every spot on the egg. It will cushion the blow. Idea #3: Hard-boil the egg to give it extra strength! (ONLY IF PROJECT ALLOWS IT) Idea #4: Anything soft like the bubble wrap can be wrapped around your egg to absorb impact.

Bubble wrap.
A.Try this it works--just take a cup of veneger n add small amount of water
--put the egg into that mixture
--keep it 4 an hour
--then take it out then drop it u will see it bounces back
you could put the egg in a bag full of cotten balls.
wrap it in 12 layers of bubble wrap and tape it securely to the egg. then drop the egg. then go and eat an ice cream for your accomplishment. :D
make a para shoot and dutch tape to a metal can
put it in a plastic jar filled with peanut butter and you are good to go.
it needs to have a soft landing
If you were to drop it, you could put it firmly in a jar of peanut butter. I saw it on shake it up...lol
It prevents the flow of current, breaking the circuit.Very thin layers of insulator are used to make capasitors, that can store charge. It prevents current from flowing along undesired paths.
Cut a bucket in half to form a trough. Then, drop a ball down the side of it.The ball will keep rolling until the friction it builds up stops it.
The heat transferred to the ice during melting is breaking the intermolecular bonds, particularly the hydrogen bonds, that hold the water molecules in a solid state.
You use a Plastic egg
it needs to have a soft landing
use plastic and try not to drop it
Either they are high maintenence or she is.
If you were to drop it, you could put it firmly in a jar of peanut butter. I saw it on shake it up...lol
keep distance from friends with bad influence
By packing it very carefully. Parachutes also help.
Foxes can jump at least 4 feet. This is why certain fences will not keep them out. Some foxes can jump as high as 6 feet.
you use an plastic container because it is best to use when doing an egg drop experiment
why does my ps3 laser keep breaking this is the second laser not including the first.
Perhaps you have the sewing machine tension too high? Perhaps you have cheap thread designed for hand sewing?
all you have to do is keep it there and not to touch it.
