Or you can also try to place it in dry ice just make sure to be careful and not to eat the dry ice.

Since the ice itself is obviously frozen it will kill bacteria. If you have blocked or chipped ice leave it in the bag it came in and store in freezer. If you are making ice cubes from the fridge and want to make quite a lot then use Glad Bag and store ice cubes in there, then fill again and put into freezer.
