New Piercing Aftercare
1) Clean your lobe piercing twice a day for the next 3 days, once in the morning and again at night. You can do this in the shower or bath but you must always rinse the piercing out using fresh running water.
1a) Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap-up and Rinse off using your normal bath products. We don't want any other cleaning or grooming products to enter a piercing we are trying to clean. Leave cleaning your cartilage piercing as the last thing you clean before exiting the shower or bath.
1b) Using your Soft Soap brand liquid anti-bacterial soap apply a small amount to your hand and lather it up. Once lathered, apply this to the lobe piercing and jewellery, working it around the piercing by rotating the ring or shuffling the stud. Once the Soft Soap is in the piercing wait a few moments then rinse the piercing in running water again rotating the ring or shuffle the stud to ensure all the soap is out of the lobe and piercing.
1c) Come out of the shower or bath and towel dry, but use a tissue to dry the ear lobe piercing out thoroughly (towels can retain bacteria and should not be used on new or fresh piercings)
After 3 Days
Follow the above steps 1a through 1c only once a day for the next three to four weeks. Between actual cleanings you may rotate the ring or shuffle the stud only under running water after you have soaped up and rinsed off and don't intend on using any other cleaning or grooming products.
After 4 Weeks
Follow the above steps 1a through 1c only once every 2 or 3 days for the next three to four months. Over cleaning is the number one cause of irritated piercings, striping the natural skin oils will tend to dry the cartilage piercing out causing it to look red and irritated.

about £7.95 per ear, other peircings are more - bar peircings are around £20
Children should not have peircings...other than ear lobe. Well, nobody should have peircings other than ear lobe. There is a very high chance of infection, and they could highly regret it. Some people have the idea that if you see someone with tattoos and peircings, they are not a great person and are uneducated. That isn't always true, but that's what lots of people think. Besides, why would you wan't to ruin your body with peircings... ick!
you don't need any peircings for an ear cuff. An ear cuff is made to look like a real peircing but it's not, it's just a curved peice of metal that slips onto ur ear.
if oregon has a walmart or claires (which it should) you can get it done there, usually for free too. all you'd have to pay for is the earing. i got my cartilage done at a walmart, and the other ear peircings at claires. i recomend either of these stores if your looking for cheap but good quality ear peircings.
they can get infected and yellow gunk will come out some people are allergic and some times on ear peircings a big lump the size of a gold ball can be on your ear so be verey carefull.
bleeding is totaly natural for peircings, just be sure to clean it regularly to reduce the risk of infection.
No, if a nurse has a peircings, that are not clean, they are forced to remove them, incase they spread infections to the patient. I was a nurse for 4 years, i worked in heart transplants, and i was asked to remove my lip peircing, as it could cause infections. Hope this helps, and no, nurses can have peircings, but they are asked to remove them D;As long as they're covered... except for the ears...
If it is dirty then yes...
you need a rabbit
if its infected, it will hurt. Infections in healed ear peircings are caused by dirt or chemicals that can irritate the peircing, or if you have sensitive skin, wearing earings that aren't hypoallergenic can cause them to become infected. Most people have to wear hypoallergenic earings, so it isn't unusual. =)
yes you should clean your dogs ear otherwise they can have mites and you should clean them once a week bit don't get any water in them.
Don't sleep on the ear that's infected before bed be sure to clean it with the proper solution. Make sure your pillow case is clean. Then sleep on your side of the opposite ear or on your back or stomach.
