What are at least two ways you can determind how much RAM is installed?

You click on Start>Run. Type "dxdiag" and click OK. If a dialog box appears just say Yes. The computer might load for awhile now. On the first window that appears, the third entry from the bottom is "Memory" and next to this is the amount of RAM you have.
You can also download the application called CPU-Z. When you run it it shows you all the detail of your CPU, motherboard, etc. The fourth tab is "Memory". Here you can see what type of memory you have and how much and latencies and everything.
You can also restart your PC and see how much RAM you have when your BIOS runs POST. (This is where you can see what and how many hard drives you have installed in your system.)

∙ 10y agoIf you are running Windows XP or later, the currently installed RAM is available from the the System control panel applet. If you are running Mac OS X, a similar display is available from the About This Mac selection from the Apple menu.
