It truly amazes me that so many people never get it from "the horses mouth" and that horses mouth is your boyfriend. He has feelings and he may just simply be scared of the word "marriage." If both of you can't communicate now your marriage is going to be in real trouble. I suggest you go somewhere quiet and ask him this question. Ask him if he wants to get married. 9 chances out of 10 he's scared to death and that's pretty normal. While young brides-to-be scurry around with their mothers or girlfriends picking out a wedding dress, etc., men just basically yawn over the whole thing and don't usually understand what the fuss is about. Sometimes I think they're right! So, start out a good relationship by communicating with your boyfriend right away and ask him the question you just asked this board. Good luck Marcy
When proposing to a girl you should let her know why she is the one and what makes her the one that you want to spend the rest of your life with.
There is no way to propose if you don't know the girl and what is the point in proposing?
When you are proposing you are presenting a possible action.

No it doesn't sound right in this situation. If she has not taken the initiative for you to meet don't try to take the initiative yourself.
