The check engine light would come on.
I need to know the location of the oxygen sensor 3 in bank 1 on a 2000 Chevy Blazer. Is it the one closest to Cylinder Head or closest to the catalytic converter. email address is wcannon@knology.net
Need to know the year and engine size so we can answer correct. 1995 6.5
Most oxygen sensors are either on the exaust headpipe just after the manifold or on the manifold. I don't know where it is exactly on the Lumina but that is where you should start looking.
No, it is not a knock sensor at all. An AF (Air/Fuel Ratio) sensor is also know as a wide range oxygen sensor. It is the newer type oxygen sensor.
Need to know which sensor, there are several.
If you are looking at a 1995 Chevy Silverado with a 5.7 liter or 5.0 liter you will not find an IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor. 1988 thru 1995 Chevy V-8s have TBI (Throttle Body Injected - looks like a carburetor but has two electronic fuel injectors at the front underneath an old-style-looking air filter housing) that uses a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor to control air-fuel delivery. I know because I have worked on many.
The oxygen sensor on any vehicle is located on under the car on the top of the muffler pipe just behind the cadallidic converter....do you know what the oxygen sensor looks like so you know what you're looking for?
There many sensors in that vehicle, crank sensor, cam sensor, engine temp sensor, oil pressure sensor, oxygen sensors, fuel level sensor, fuel tank evap pressure sensor, mass air flow sensor, manifold absolute pressure senser and the list goes on. Need to know which sensor you are looking for.
Need to know what year
Need to know what engine it has.
The code thrown will tell you which one is bad. Codes p0130 thru p0135 all refer to the upstream sensor under your coil packs. Codes p0136 thru p0141 all refer to the downstream sensor under the van.
PRETTY SURE OIL SENSOR
