How do you know if this is an animal cell or plant cell in meiosis?
Plant cells have a cell wall, while animal cells do not.
We know that euglina makes its food by photosynthesis method like plant which is the only one character similar to plant.Everybody know that plant cell has cell wall but Euglina's cell has no cell wall, its cell structure is totally like as an animal cell & It also create movement like animal. So it is taken as an animal.
As far as I know, they don't. some animal cells do have vacuoles, but they are not as big as those in plant cells. also, an animal cell can have many small vacuoles. some animal cells do not have vacuoles, because the functions that vacuoles carry out in a plant cell are performed by the lysosomes of the animal cell.
The only organelle that I know of that is in the animal cell, but not in the plant cell, is the centriole. The centriole, located in the centrosome of an animal cell, is a barrel-shaped organelle made up of nine triplets of microtubules. Its function in the cell is to separate chromosomes during a cell division called mitosis. When mitosis occurs, the mother cell duplicates itself, then seperates into two new daughter cells. The mother…
Plant cells, unlike animal cells, contain a vacuole (a tube containing sugary-water), chloroplasts (balls that contain chlorophyll) and a cell wall (a hard protective case that makes the cell a hard square/rectangle shape). This is the main difference between plant and animal cells, as plant cells are rectangular and are the same size, animal cells are randomly shaped and have no hard case.
Yes, a plant cell is Eukaryotic, I'm studying this in school right now so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about :) A Eukaryotic Cell is a cell WITH a nucleas. Prokaryotic cells are cells WITHOUT a nucleas. A bacteria cell is an example of a Prokaryotic cell. And a plant and animal cell are examples for Eukaryotic Cells. :)
Nucleus Nuclear membrane nucleolus chromatin vacuole mitochondria ribosomes endoplasmic reticulum Golgi bodies cell membrane These are all the plant AND animal cell structures i know of. PLANT Cytoplasm Cell wall (all the others from list) ANIMAL Lysosomes (all the others from first list) I hope that helps
