It's start off by irritating a little bit then you start to notice yellow crumbs discharging from your vagina. Eventually the yeast becomes so large it produces bread like substances by using the calories in your diet. I wouldn't reccommend eating it as it taste very bad and smell horrible

There are a couple symptoms that could indicate that one has a yeast infection. One symptom that 20% of women experience is a thick discharge in the vagina that looks very similar to cottage cheese. The discharge usually has a starchy odour and can vary in colour from white to whitish yellow.

The biggest indicator of a yeast infection is itchiness in the vaginal region. This region may also be red and swollen, which makes urination and sex quite painful.

Less common symptoms are abdominal pain, muscle and joint pain, persistent heartburn, severe itching, and white spots found around the mouth and tongue.

Yeast Infection and Herpes have different symptoms.

Yeast Infection causes itching, soreness, cottage-cheese like discharge, and bad odour (not all symptoms have to be present), whereas Herpes can cause itching and burning but typically the main symptom is a sore around the genitals. If unsure if you have either of these you should see your doctor for STI/STD screening, and treatment should it be needed.

There are a few common symptoms that may be present if you have a vaginal yeast infection, however some people may not have all symptoms or any clear symptoms at all - thus a doctors visit may be the only way to tell for sure. It's also important to note that if sexually active it's best to see your doctor for tests to ensure it is a yeast infection and not something more serious.

Typically the main symptom a person would experience with a yeast infection is itching within the vaginal opening and/or the vulva, the person may also experience sore or red areas on their vulva, experience pain during sex or when urinating, and see thick cottage-cheese like discharge.

How can a man give you a yeast infection if he did not sleep with anyone else?

Candida albicans, the bacteria that causes a yeast infection is present in everyone, both men and women, even if they are perfectly healthy. The problem arises when the Candida has an overgrowth, which leads to a yeast infection. It is definitely possible for men to get a yeast infection and then pass it onto you. The penis is vulnerable a yeast infection, though chances are significantly lower than that of a woman's. It is possible that the man did not sleep with anyone else as sexual intercourse is only one of the many other possible causes of yeast infection in men. The man may have a weakened immune system, or took antibiotics that killed the good bacteria that are needed to keep the yeast infection from manifesting. Penile yeast infection can also happen with the use of condoms that contain nonxynol-9, so check the label to see if the chemical is present. Simply put, the man may have contracted the yeast infection without sexual intercourse. It may very well be the other causes. To add onto the facts, 75% of women will get a yeast infection at least once in their lifetime, so it may be possible that you have contracted it on your own without the man playing any part in it.
