Swollen, red lines coming from it, pus, painful...
It's like any other piercing infection. It hurts, the skin is tight, swollen and/or shiny and there's a good chance it's leaking blood or some kind of nasty smelling pus.
If you think it's infected, take out the jewellery immediately. The metal will only keep irritating the skin, making it swell and making the bar impossible to remove.
Signs of infection include severe redness, severe swelling and/or a yellow or green discharge that smells bad. An advanced infection can also include fever and/or chills.
There are a few ways of telling that your naval is infected. One way to tell is if your belly button is super hard and you find it harder to touch then when your first got it pierced next puss starts to come out and also some times where the piercing is at it can change to a different color such as purple or green. If that happends you should go to a doctor, they may have to remove it
Signs of infraction would includes:
Infections are indicated by:
If you have 2 or more of the above indicators there is a good chance the piercing could be infected.
Allergic Reaction is indicated by:
If you have the above indicators your piercing is reacting to either the cleanser you are using or the jewellery in the piercing. Cease using the cleanser and flush the piercing with lots of warm running water while moving the jewellery, this will flush the piercing clean and the tissue should settle down shortly after the rinsing.
In both situations you should return to see your professional body piercer without delay. these conditions left unchecked and untreated can become very serious issues which would require medical assistance.Jzuk
Probably if there is a keloid or an abscess. A keloid is a bump with veins, and an abscess is an access peice of skin. I have my belly button pierced and i had a keloid/abscess, thankfully my doctor prescribed me a very expensive useful cream to make it go away.
Mine was infected. White and yellow puss comes out. It is itchy and red around the hole. I had to take it out and let it heal. Then get it done again. The piercing was not painful but I don't think the piercer who did mine knew what he was doing. So be careful go to a nice clean place take care of it and you'll be okay.
it will be very sore and also it will be red and maybe puss will appear :/ x
If its swollen, red, and very tender it could be infected. There could be some bleeding and puss coming from it.
ask the doctor
A belly button piercing can be a lot of fun, but it must be kept absolutely clean. It is a piercing that is easily infected, and when it does get infected, it's pretty bad. After getting pierced, clean the area twice a day (as well as after the shower, after swimming in the beach, etc). Also know that after the belly button ring is removed, there will be a small scar that can stretch (permanently) during pregnancy.
I don't know so i think it is no but you can pierce your belly button.
Yes, if they know how. My friend pierced mine, and she even messed it up, and it didn't get infected. Just follow standard piercing techniques and disinfect it each day.
It will turn a yellowy greeny colour and it will become painfull
if everything is clean and you know what your doing , yes if not leave it to the pros
in Indiana girls start to pierce their belly button very young I know a girl shes from Indiana and she got her's pierced when she was seven
You can get your belly pierced in many different places but the main place you should go is a piercing clinic as you know that they clean all their needles b efore they are used! also u know that a piercing clinic has professional piercers and they know what they are doing.
The best way to know if your new piercing is infected is by the visual appearance. If the piercing is red or inflamed, it may be infected. It also may be hot to the touch.
getting in a hot tub would not hurt a new belly button piercing, but your not supposed to. you should wait at least 6weeks after you got the piercing to sit in water. (I know this because i have ma belly button pierced. i have it pierced all around =)..) Anyway, i suggest you put a water proof band-aid over it or tape or something to cover it up b4 you get in the hot tub.
Not unless it stops you from having sex. AnswerIt doesn't stop pregnancy, but if you are pregnant you will need to take your piercing out. You know how around like 6 months or so you get that cute little snooze button? Well that's why haha.
They might. Theres no way to determine that. Some piercers wont pierce through scar tissue so they might mention it.
I dont know she dont wear any belly button
