Best hint is lack of heat cycles but not always reliable as up to 20% of mares continue to show some heat signs for one or more cycles after becoming pregnant and a few continue all the way through their pregnancy. Best bet....have the vet do an ultrasound within 2-3 weeks after the mare was covered by a stallion or bred. This will not only detect pregnancy but will show if there are twins....a very high risk situation for the mare. Ultrasound is good for most of a pregnancy although they are harder to read later when the foal is bigger. Palpation is good for determining pregnancy from about 14-15 days (with a good vet) up to about 4 1/2 months after which it is hard to feel the foal as it has dropped below the pelvic rim in the mare's abdomen and most vets simply can't reach far enough to feel it. Palpation becomes possible again later in the pregnancy (8-9 months) as the foal has grown large enough to be closer to the pelvic rim again. You can also have hormone levels checked but I can't remember exactly the days that this test is reliable.
a mare is a female,a stallion is a male. a mare comes into heat and the stallion smells it and mounts her. he shoves his penis into her vigina and releses sperm(his testicals make sperm) and the sperm get her pregnant. go to Google
if you suspect that your horse is pregnant (in foal) ask your vet to perform a pregnancy test. this is obviously the easiest way to find out.
mares may have a slightly different temprement.. more moody or more docile.
they may be irritated when you touch their tummy.
all horses react differently when they are in foal. i would suggest just do a test
Look under the reproduction tab and click on Information. It will say the amount of months your horse has been pregnant for and there will be a tab to the stallion's page. Your foal will be born when the gestation is at 12 months.
You will know that your mare is pregnant on Howrse by
a.) you paid for the breeding fee
b.) There will be BIG RED letters in the corner that says YOUR MARE IS GIVE BIRTH TODAY!!
No. That's just if you want the breed gender and color of the horse. Its optional.

a horse whene its born is called a foal both male and female
There is a certain breed of horse whoes blood helps cure snake bites, other than that I know female pregnant horse urine is out in a pill for pregnant women
Like any other animals....you have to breed a stallion and a mare.
Well a gelding is a male horse who can no longer make a female pregnant (if u know what i mean haha)
Yes. A "mare" is the term used for a female horse (equine) of or over the age of 3 or 4 years old.
Because it can them be used to impregnate a female horse w/o someone having to move a stallion around.
Colt is a male 1 year and younger, Stallion is a male who can breed and Gelding is a male that has had surgery so he can't breed
There is two different ways to say 'female horse' in Spanish:La yegua - "the (female) horse"Una yegua - "a (female) horse"
Mares are generally mature enough to become pregnant when they are 2-3 years old although there are many reasons why a young female horse will not become pregnant before they are a year or two older. Most domestic horses are not bred until they older than 3.
Male horse = stallion Female horse = mare Young horse = foal Young (older) female horse = filly
