How do you know love someone?

If you are asking this question, then you are doubting, and that's not a very good sign... You know someone loves you when they do things they dislike, or sacrifices, just to make you happy, even if they are unhappy... when you know, you know... but you definetly shouldn't ask others cause we all love in different ways = )

I do think it's a half / half work ...

and they both have to see that, wichhever way.

Either they tell you that they love you and/or they show you that they love you maybe by the way they look at you, doing caring things for you - even the smallest things which sometimes mean more, acting in a loving manner towards you.

HmmmmNot sure I could agree with the foregoing. Many psychologists say that you cannot experience true love without first loving yourself... How About....You can love your family or friends, for example, and that feels like you would be devastated if something happened to them and you want them to be happy. Then you can BE IN LOVE with someone, which is all of the above PLUS wanting to spend lots of time with them and not being able to imagine the world with them not around.
