How do you know what speaker wires go to what speakers on a 95 mystique?
There is a color code for the speaker wires in a 1995 Mercury Mystique. The radio battery constant 12v+ wire is orange/black, the radio accessory switched 12v+ wire is blue/black, the radio ground wire is black/green, and the illumination wire is white/green. The left front speaker wire (+) is white/black, the left front speaker wire (-) is brown/yellow, the right front speaker wire (+) is white/red, and the right front speaker wire (-) is brown/red. The left rear speaker wire (+) is white/violet, the left rear speaker wire (-) is brown/white, the right rear speaker wire (+) is white/violet, and the right rear speaker wire (-) is brown/white.
If you have a Fiat Punto 2000 S, there may not be any rear speaker cables, I know there wasn't in mine.
The Audi A4 platform with some radio systems had the radio power the two front speakers. The rear speakers were powered by an amplifier which is actually attached to the speaker with all of these wires that you see. I know in my 1999 Audi A4 car without the bose package this was the setup. The wires are for audio, power for the amp, radio turnon signal, etc. Some of the newer audi's I believe… Read More
98 Camry rear speakers do not work but the door speakers do. ive looked at the wires in the trunk but don't believe there is any disconnected wires. Can it be a fuse or is there another place to look?
To properly figure this out: -Test to see if the speakers are good. Remove the speaker and try testing them on another system or on the wires from the front speakers. -If they work than test the wiring to the back speakers. Hook up one of the front speakers (cause you know it works) to the back and see if you get sound. -If still no sound than remove the radio and check the connetions… Read More
I just changed the rear speakers in my 97 Acura TL. I have to lay inside the trunk. You will see 4 screws (each side) When looking up inside the trunk. They hold the Speaker Grills in place. Once the bolts are out, you can lift off the speaker grill and you'll see the screws bolting the speakers down as their under the grill. I also have the color codes for the speaker wires. Let… Read More
Hello There is no fuse that controls the radio speakers that i know about. You need to check the speakers first they could be blown. To do this use a 9 volt battery to check the speakers. First locate the wires going to one speaker and use the battery to check them. put one wire on one speaker lead and the other on the other lead if the speaker moves then its good if not… Read More
I helped a friend that owns a 2001 dodge ram ext. cab which im almost sure is the only option for that year other than a reg. cab. the preious answer is very wrong. some car makers have a stripe on both wires. the best way to tell is leave the factory speaker hooked up take a 9 volt battery with wires attached to it and slide one wire into each connection. if the speaker pushes you have the positive and negative correct with the markings on the battery if the speaker pulls in the they are reversed. The wire with the stripe… Read More
idk exactly.. but you can look at each of your speakers and write down the color of the wire going to it.. it will be the same color wire at the connector on the dash.. so now you know ,which wires go to which speaker. when figuring out (+) and (-) , the wire with a black line on it should be the negative. now after you have all the speaker wires figured out, the… Read More

My 96 Nissan sentra has 6.5" speakers. i just replaced them last week. i don't know how much watts it can take. it depends on the speakers.. not on the car. Try to use the Nissan speaker adapters plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess up the electric system, you can get those from eBay or amazon.
All speakers have a characteristic known as impedance which is measured in units called ohms. The most common values for speakers are 8 ohms and 4 ohms. A speaker with a lower ohm rating represents a more demanding load for an amplifier to drive. The impedance of a speaker has no relation to the quality of the speaker. Why do speakers come in 8 ohm and 4 ohm versions? Many manufacturers of speakers offer a… Read More
When changing old speakers in a car to new speakers what do you do when the old speakers have two wires and the new speakers have four?
I guess you will have to the car company this question. I know this is not much help so sorry about that.
Where can you get good quality speakers that will fit inside headphones I need for headphones I am making?
I don't know what to tell you. Excellent speakers designed for conventional speaker cabinets are widely available, but high quality headphone sized speakers I know of no source for.
The rear speakers in a 1994 Prism stopped working but the front speakers still work -there is no reception only static. Should the speakers and stereo be replaced?
ok, first, are they aftermarket speakers?? did is all of a sudden stop working?? Do NOT replace anything yet... It may be the wires that connect to them, it's unlikely because wires don't go bad outta nowhere, were you in an accident for them to possible have been cut?? I don't know what kind of tools you have but what i like to do is try connecting the wires to ANOTHER speaker that you KNOW… Read More
Answer: It sure will. Why don't you give it a try? (Assuming here you aren't plugging this in the wall!) Answer: Absolutely. Just bear in mind that speakers are low-impedance loads, so the resistance of the wire must be considered. To minimize losses in the wire, you want to use a pair of wires that will have a resistance that is 5% or less than the impedance of the speaker. So, if you have a… Read More

The speaker size 5x7 and 6x8 refers to the original speaker mountings in a automotive environment. Some car manufacturers use 5x7 speakers with corresponding mounting holes and 6x8 speakers just correspond respectively Having worked as a car audio installer, I find that 5x7 speakers will fit in a 6x8 speaker opening, and you would have to take out the 6x8 speaker holes that are usually found in a 5x7 speaker with the holes horizontally on… Read More

I've got a bookshelf audio system with two speakers. The CD player/receiver/amp connects to them via standard speaker wire. In other words, there are no RCA plugs, just the standard clip connections. I also have an older amp that connects to speakers via standard speaker wire with clip connections. As long as the two amps are not on simultaneously, I was wondering whether it would be possible to connect both amps to the speakers using… Read More

To remove The speakers you need a very simple Philips head screwdriver, that's it. First, put the convertible top about halfway down, because this allows easy access to the speaker assembly. Once the top is halfway down, look near the 1/4 windows towards the back of the car, their will be a vinyl covering that covers the speakers, this snaps off easily. Now, the speaker assembly should be revealed. carefully unscrew the speakers from the… Read More

Install Door Speakers in 86 5 Toyota Supra I know it calls for a 4 inch speaker but I am not sure if I need to pull off the door panel or access the speaker from the grill?
No you don;t need to pull off the door trim to access the stock speaker. You just need to remove the door handle and the grill section. Installing a larger speaker is possible but requires more work as you need to remove the door card and make a custom mounting plate for the speaker itself Try to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up… Read More

The three main wires youll need to find are the constant, accessorie, and ground. Make sure all of the wires are not exposed to each other or you could start blowing fuses or worse. Next, test each wire until you… Read More

If your rear speakers have power but no sound comes out yes the fader has been checked do you need to replace the speakers?
before replacing the speakers remove one and try it in another location, same for the back, see if a speaker that you know is good works there. it may be the stereo at fault or bad connections.
I have a 2002 Saturn SL2 and the back speakers are 6 1/2". I don't know how to take the front door panels off so i don't know about the front. I believe both the front and rear speakers are 6 1/2"

Chevy used weak glue to attach the surround to the frame. When you look at a speaker, you see a "bubble" in the middle, that is called the dust cap. From the dust cap the speaker forms a cone to the outside edge of the speaker, this is called the "cone". Surrounding the cone is the "surround". The surround is a convex piece of flexible material that allows the cone to move up and down… Read More
i need to know where the speed sensor is in my mercury mystique so i can replace it.
How do I know which wire is the ground wire for my speaker wires One is silver one is copper colored?
It doesn't matter which colour you use. What does matter is that you maintain the same colour coding through out the whole system. If you chose the silver colour for the red terminal, use the silver to red for all of the connections that you have to make. If this is not done the cones of some speakers will be moving in while the cones of other speakers in the system will be moving out… Read More

You're certainly free to do that if you want to, but before you start, you should know that any paint applied to the suspended 'cone' of the speaker will ruin its sound.

solid r the best "conductors" of sound. think of speakers....the speaker vibratess, which, essentially is the sound"..sound is simply the vibration of the air molecules...speakers r simply the way to get the air molecules to vibrate in specific frequencies

Generally, yes, but it depends on the country. This is considered the natural extension of the muezzin (or caller to prayer). In Christianity there are now electric bells in some of the churches, so the corresponding equivalent is to have electronic recordings of the muezzin's voice. However, there are numerous countries, especially in Western countries, that have banned the use of electric muezzin calls because of their loudness. Switzerland is one such country.
Best Buy and Crutchfield will let you know which speakers will fit in your car. For example Infinity 6x8's will fit in the rear deck of your Taurus.
