I am trying to change the oil transmission on my ford ranger 1998 but I do not know what kind of oil it needs. it's a 4 cylender
i need to know where the gearbox is for my Ford Expedition
On my 1998 Ford Expedition XLT 4.6L 4x4. The Oil Filter was located behind the front driver side bumper. Yes, I know it sounds crazy but there it was.
Best to take it to a dealer for a check or a transmission specialist. Get two opinions to make sure if you don't trust them.
On a 1998 Ford Expedition : Two wheel drive , standard suspension ( 26.0 US. gallons ) Two wheel drive , rear air suspension ( 30.0 US. gallons ) 4X4 ( 30.0 US. gallons )
According to the 1998 Ford Expedition Owners Guide you use regular unleaded gas with an octane rating of ( 87 ) and up to ( 10 % ) ethanol so it does not have flex fuel engines ( As far as I know if you could use E85 the mileage would be worse )
Cylinders # 4 is on the passenger's side.
My 2003 Ford Expedition is not gas to fuel rail i dont know what to do
I'm not a mechanic / technician but I know that you would also need to change the transmission and the Powertrain Control Module . I don't know if the exhaust system lines up ( as far as the Ford Expedition and F-150 )
Anyone know is it possible to use the backseat as the third row ? Do they pull out and attach the same (specifically in a 1998 ford expedition xlt )
I know the engine cylinder locations on a Ford Expedition are numbered : firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front of Ford Expedition
