One must ask several questions before even thinking about Ebola.

Have you traveled recently or been in an airport?

Have you been to regions that have outbreaks of Ebolavirus, such as Africa- (Central or West)

Are you a healthcare worker? If so, have you been in contact with blood or body fluids or secretions of a person with an unknown etiology illness similar to Ebola Virus?

HAVE you been around or exposed to a person with a confirmed case of Ebolavirus?

If the answer to any of these questions is a "yes", than one must calmly and rationally proceed to some more questions.

Do you feel sick?

Do you have diarrhea, sore throat, dehydration, or any other bothersome "flu like" symptoms?

If so, then you must contact your doctor. This does NOT mean you have Ebolavirus.

The incidence of infection in the United States is ZERO.

The major outbreak has been in Africa.

There have been two people transported TO the United States, but they have confirmed cases of Ebola, and have been transported under the strictest precautions- handled only with all precautions such as respirators and major equipment to prevent any contact at all with anyone else, or the spread of any of their body fluids, secretions, or blood.

In summary, you most likely do NOT have Ebola Virus. The fear and "shock and awe" spread by irresponsible media and people who are ignorant has caused a widespread panic.

You are more likely to be infected with a dangerous FLU than you ever are with Ebola!

Do you have a fever higher than 99.5?

It can be observed initially through physical symptoms, however, these are often mistaken for flu.

Diagnosis can be confirmed by means of a blood test.

How do you know if you have ebola-?

The only way to know for sure if you have Ebola is to have a test run at a hospital. That said, there is very little to worry about if you haven't come in direct contact with a person already infected with the virus. Some of the symptoms are a fever and vomiting, but a person shouldn't panic because it is much more likely to be the flu than Ebola.

What is the host or carrier of Ebola virus?

As far as we know, Ebola attacks mostly primates. There is some indication that it may also attack the Afrtican Fruit Bat (and by inference, other mammals as well). Some variants of Ebola, notably Ebola reston, were lethal to monkeys but apparently infected humans although -- in humans -- it remained asymptomatic. Bear in mind that we suspect Ebola has been misdiagnosed quite often, as its symptomology is very similar to many other disorders indigenous to Ebola locale.

What is the name of Ebola vaccine?
