Will a Toyota tacoma carry a harley Davidson motorcycle?

I have a 2005 Tacoma 4WD and put my 1986 Harley FXR in the back. No problem with the weight at all. Be very careful how you load the bike. The tailgate is not built to support that kind of weight and will bend in the middle as you load the bike.

Unanswered Harley Davidson questions?

To find unanswered Harley-Davidson questions on WikiAnswers, go to the "Harley-Davidson Motorcycles" category. In the upper left-hand corner, you will find the word "Unanswered." How do you test a rectifier for Harley Davidson motorcycle?

check for stator AC output first, check specs for your year, that has to work properly under load to go any further, then check for 12.75-13.50 VDC at the battery with it running, if it tests OK at the stator plug and shows battery voltage dropping instead of climbing at fast idle, suspect the rectifier/regulator It is impossible to test the rectifier, but it is built into the regulator/rectifier and you can test the regulator. Buy a manual!

What does the signal flasher on a 1997 Harley Davidson look like?

You can replace it with any 12volt flasher you want, provided that its rated load is the same as the wattage of the signal bulbs you are using.

What is the charging system output on a 2000 Harley Davidson Electra Glide?

It can't be more than about 15 amps. I have had my bike for 8 years and it has always dropped down to about 10.5 - 11 volts on the voltmeter at idle which isn't right. The voltage at the battery is more like 12.2 volts at idle. When you rev it up, the voltage eventually gets up to about 14 volts. I have replaced both the battery and the regulator. I think the stock alternator is too small for the load.

Does a battery last longer in a series or parallel circuit?

A battery doesn't see a series or parallel circuit. It just supplies the current that is demanded by the load be it a series or parallel load. Visualize that a single load across a battery is both a series and parallel load to the battery.

Rear shock adjustment on a harley Davidson dyna wide glide?

You need a spanner wrench that can be picked up at your local dealer. I got mine for $10. You can only adjust the pre-load not the actual spring rate unless you purchased adjustable springs/shocks. Turn clockwise to increase pre-load and counter clockwise to decrease.

Is battery is inductive or capacitive load?

A battery is usually thought of as a source, not a load. If you are charging a battery, then it will be resistive, especially if you are attempting to charge it like you should, with a DC power supply (not AC).

How do you charge the battery on a Harley?

Remove from the mc, disconnecting the ground cable first. Then hook up to a trickle charger at 10% the amp hour rating of the battery. Probably 2 amp. Charge fully, overnight is a good bet. Then load test the battery with an iron type load tester. Any auto parts store will usually do this for you at no charge. If it passes, reinstall battery in the mc reconnecting the ground cable LAST!! Then have fun riding. If the battery doesn't pass the load test, replace the battery new, and follow the previous charging procedure BEFORE you install into the bike. I dont care if it is "new" the battery had surely been sitting around waiting for you to come buy it. Recharge, install and ride away.

What two factors determine the output energy of a battery?

The energy delivered by a battery would depend on-- the battery's voltage-- the resistance of the load connected across its output terminals-- the length of the time the load is connectedThe power delivered by the battery is [ (voltage)2 divided by (load resistance) ].The total energy delivered by the battery is [ (power) multiplied by (time the load is connected) ].

How many amps are in a C battery?

The amperage drawn from a C cell battery is governed by the load resistance. The lower the resistive load the higher the amperage draw from the battery.

How do you tell if it's the alternator or battery?

Have a shop load test the battery.
