Using WindowsXP, Vista, Windows 7 or any of the Windows Server variants, Device Manager can be located using the following methods plus a few others:
Method 1- Locate 'My Computer' on the desktop
- Right-Click the icon and select 'Manage' from the context menu
- In the new window, select 'Device Manager' from the list in the left pane
- Locate 'Computer' in the Start Menu
- Right-Click 'Computer' and select 'Manage' from the context menu
- In the new window, select 'Device Manager' from the list in the left pane
- Open the Start Menu
- Click in the text entry area that currently says "Search programs and files"
- Type "device manager"
- Click on 'Device Manager' in the search results above the text entry area
- Open the Start Menu
- Locate 'Control Panel' and click on it
- In the top right-corner of the new window, locate the 'View by' option
- Select 'Small Icons' from the drop down menu
- Locate 'Device Manager' in the newly arranged list and double click to open it
- Open the Start Menu
- Locate 'Settings' and hover your mouse cursor over it so the menu expands
- Click 'Control Panel' from the expanded menu
- Locate 'Device Manager' in the new window and double click to open it

∙ 13y agoClick on the start button and immediately above it is a search bar, simply type 'Device manager' into this and it will locate it for you.
click start , right click computer, click manage when the window opens expand diagnostics and device manager will be the in that list.

∙ 13y agoEven thought there are many ways to get to the device manager in a windows computers it all depends on the Operating system, by right clicking on the "My Computer" icon and then clicking "Manage", one of the sub menus should be Device Manager. I am pretty sure this will work on all Windows Operating systems.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, just go to start and in the box type "Device Manager" and it should get you there with out any problems.
