Firstly your spellings wrong i believe Character is the Word.
An Easy Way to look at your Character is to press e to open your inventory this show your character and your crafting bench another way is to press f5 this will show you the back of the character pressing f5 again shows you the front pressing f5 again goes back to the first person where you can only see the hand and what your holding.
