  • I am trying to lose weight too but 10 pounds in 1 week is a lot. I do not know if it is possible unless you run miles every day and eat healthy foods, salads and drink water.
  • It is simple, you would need to stop eating so much. Small portions...cut out snack foods (chips cookies etc...) don't drink pop, not even diet pop. Get out and move around (get really active). Just by doing this I lost 30 pounds in 2 months.
  • Go to a gym with a trash bag suit and sit in a sauna. Eat breakfast so you have enough energy to go through the day. Then do a lot of exercise. Do 20 push-ups and 50 sit-ups, take a rest, then 20 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, so on and so forth. I lost a few pounds in a day.
  • 10 lbs in one week is unrealistic. I suggest 10 lbs in a month. Exercise and stick to eating salads, select fruits, and vegetables. You could have a low carb yogurt every other day.
  • By drinking water and exercising.

If you want to lose 10 pounds in a week what you will have to do is watch your caloric intake and when you eat your meals make sure you eat a serving size or one serving spoon of food. You must monitor your portions. Also if you are able to exercise, you will see more positive results. You can do compound exercises like work on your large muscle groups such as your glutes, quadriceps, and hamstrings. Working on these large muscle groups will create tiny tears within the muscle. It takes a lot of energy for the body to repair these tiny tears which in turn use calories to burn fat. You can also do intense cardio which helps train your body to utilize oxygen more efficiently and burn more fat.
  • Cardio exercise. Work out twice a day for 60 to 90 minutes and stick to a diet. You can but you have to work hard and eat right. Small portions...cut out snack foods (chips cookies etc...) don't drink pop, not even diet pop. Get out and move around (get really active). Just by doing this I lost 30 pounds in 2 months.
  • You could lose lose ten pounds in one week through either a very low calorie diet, starvation, or Liposuction. I don't recommend any of these because you end up hurting yourself and wasting money. Just eat healthier and engage in cardio exercise or cardio sport.
  • Eat well, but don't snack on junk food and don't eat anything with yeast products in it (read your labels) such as breads, buns, cakes, cookies, etc. You may not reach the 10 pound goal in one week but but you will come close. Stick on the no yeast diet for a couple of weeks and slowly introduce a little back into your diet, but keep it at a minimum. Drink those 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water (flushes out toxins and fats) and exercise.
  • To lose 10 pounds in a week you could try a detox drink that cleanses your body. You put ginger, honey, water, and some natural lemon juice, together and drink this for the whole week.
  • Run miles every day or do some other type of cardio exercise and eat healthy foods, salads and drink water. Eat well, but don't snack on junk food and don't eat anything with yeast products in it (read your labels) such as breads, buns, cakes, cookies, etc. Stick on the no yeast diet for a couple of weeks and slowly introduce a little back into your diet, but keep it at a minimum. Drink those 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water (flushes out toxins and fats) and exercise.
  • A "detox" diet can help, you don't eat and you only drink a mixture of lemon juice, water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup. With lots of cardio exercise as well, you can lose a lot, but be caeful not to do this for longer than a week because it doesn't provide all of the nutrients you need for a healthy diet.
  • Cardio exercise or cardio sports plus diet. Modern science suggests that losing 2 lbs/week is the maximum healthy amount, and is done through careful moderation of food intake and diet, as well as exercise.
  • Eat breakfast so you have enough energy to go through the day. Then do a lot of cardio exercise. Also, try 20 push-ups and 50 sit-ups, take a rest, then 20 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, so on and so forth. I lost a few pounds in a day. 10 lbs in one week is unrealistic. I suggest 10 lbs in a month. Exercise and stick to eating salads, select fruits, and vegetables. You could have a low carb yogurt every other day.
  • If you have a lot of weight to lose, by changing your eating habits and by engaging in lots of cardio exercise or cardio activity it is possible to lose 10 pounds in one week (as demonstrated on The Biggest Loser TV show). If you are only a few pounds overweight, however, 10 pounds in one week is unrealistic and it is better to aim for 10 pounds in one month. .
it's simple.

eat breakfast so you have enough energy to go through the day. then do a lot of exercise. 20 push-ups and 50 sit-ups, take a rest, 20 push-ups, 50 sit-ups, so on and so forth. I lost 5 pounds in a day so HA!

Okay you can do that or you can try my option. Sure I didn't loose 5 pounds a day like this person but it works for my sister and I. At 16 I had a small amount of excess belly. In the mornings i would eat almost nothing, a small Nature Valley bar. The fat and calories were very small if nothing. For lunch I would eat very little only enough to keep me going. After about 2 days of eating like this my stomach was used to it. Dinner was the usual I just tried not to go over how much I ate. By eating only what I needed I was not starving, but I was loosing weight fast. I personally lost 11.4 pounds from Monday to Sunday. Every one is different so if you loose only 9 pounds it is still working for you.
Make sure that you do plenty of exercise and eat healthy. If you don't normally do much exercise, then don't rush into things, instead gradually build up your fitness. Daily walks can burn off a bit. The main thing though is a balanced diet. (Make sure you eat plenty of fruit and veg and try and stay away from chocolate, cake, crisps and things like that.) When you're hungry instead of going to the cookie jar opt for fruit. Bananas are good energy.

If I were you I'd just exercise and eat healthy. Don't try and do some weird diet like when you just eat pasta because that can be bad for you. Also, don't starve yourself. People think that starving yourself makes you thinner but it actually makes yo fatter, because whatever you do eat after starving yourself for a bit, is put on as fat!

1. Drink lots of water! If you are 18 and older, drink 8 glasses. If you are under that age, drink 5 glasses a day. (I know it gets old!)

2. Exercise! Bike for 30 minutes! Walk up and down your stairs for 30 minutes! DO SOMETHING! If you really really want to lose weight, go to the gym and run on the treadmill for a minimum of 45 minutes.

3. If you are working on beauty as well, try the sauna. It helps you sweat and get out all the toxins in your body. It also improves your skin! But remember to drink lots of water and fuel up afterwards!

4. Eat lots of fruit and veggies! Don't buy those bogus diet pills! (Trust me, they don't work!) Eat a minimum of 2 apples and a bowl of carrots a day. For vegetables, try broccoli. If your a snacky person, try almonds.

5. Believe in yourself! Walk straight and if you want, suck in your stomach!(actually helps lose belly fat!) Be confident about yourself!

6. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT starve yourself! You'll just gain more weight that way! (Your body goes into survival mode and tries to protect itself so it just adds more weight.)

7. Do some sit ups! At least 50 a day do you hear, 50 A DAY!
You have to stop eating so much junk food. Also a little of exercise won't hert either
With serious health complications. You need to take it steady, over a period of time and keep determined. Quick weight loss will not bring about any benefits,as the weight can be put back on quickly by the body.

Okay, look, you're not going to lose a lot of weight by sunday. The best you can do is wear a tankini and stop being insecure about it.

If you start not eating or something, you're going to end up sick and fatigued and dehydrated when you go.

The answers to your questions.

1. Maybe a little bit, but then you'll be dehydrated and you'll have to drink water again.

2. Drinking a lot of water and avoiding sodas will help you lose weight, especially if you stop drinking soda in general.

3. You should eat lots of veggies and little bread/pasta if you want to lose weight. Fruit should be kept to a small amount, but more than bread.

4. No excercises, no matter what anyone tries to tell you actually makes you lose stomach fat on its own. You have to work out and all of it will come down gradually.

  • I have lost 8 lbs in 1 day. It was during tryouts for pop-warner football. We weighed in before and after practice. The practice lasted about 4 hours and it also had a lot of sprints.
  • If you really want to lose that much weight in one day you will have to miss out on big meals on the whole day be outside running only meal you must eat is apple or a banana and drink water the whole day and also before you got to bed do some sit ups push ups but make sure you have water while running or you will pass out and passing out can cause serious damage to your brain especially since you wont be eating your brain wont coparate properly and it will take long to recover so as you are out side running make sure to have water and fruit to eat wen you have a break.

There is no safe way to lose 10 kg. in one week.

1 kilo is the equivalent of 7700 calories. This means that in order to drop 1 kilo through diet and exercise, you would have to eat 7700 fewer calories than you're taking in.

Doing the math, this means that to drop 10 kilos, you would have to take in 77,000 fewer calories than you've used: this equals 11,000 fewer calories per day!

There is no safe combination of diet and exercise which would permit this. Let's say, for argument's sake, that you weigh 100 kg. Your body burns approximately 2100 calories per day to stay alive*; hard exercise would double that.

That's still only 4200 calories per day, or not quite 30,000 calories by the end of the week. Even if you were to manage to eat nothing, and somehow still maintain that torrid pace, you'd fall about 35,000 calories short.

And in doing so, you would've burned through not just your fat reserves, but your muscles as well, since the body finds it easier to convert protein to energy rather than fat. As a conservative estimate, I'd give you a 50% chance of even being alive when the week was up; and no chance of avoiding a hospital stay.

Even a surgical alternative, such as liposuction, is limited in how much fat the surgeons can safely remove. Ditto for gastric bypass: it severely limits how much your stomach can hold, but doesn't otherwise remove any weight beyond the procedure itself.

The minimum period of time in which you can safely lose 10 kilos would be about 5 weeks, and preferably under the direct supervision of a doctor and/or personal trainer. In all fairness, 6 weeks to 2 months would be a safer bet. Good luck.

*This is called your BMR, or basal metabolic rate. The lighter, shorter, or older you are, the lower this number is. I based the calculated number on a 25-year-old male, who is 1.75 meters tall.

The only way you can lose 10 pounds in a week is but cutting out 35,000 calories a week, which is almost impossible. Because there are 3500 calories in one pound that means you have to starve for a week and burn 10,500 calories in that week. So, that goal is pretty impossible because by the third day you would probably feel like you are about to faint or actually faint while working out. You would not have the energy required.

A more reachable goal is 10 pounds in a month. You could work out for about a hour every day in that month and cut down your calorie intake to about no more than 1500 calories a day. This would be hard but perhaps not unreachable.

That is much too fast. Doctors and dieticians recommend losing weight gradually, allowing a whole month for every 4 to 8 pounds you want to lose. Do not starve yourself, or skip meals, or try throwing up.
Here's a program for the period in which you want to lose weight:
Get plenty of moderate aerobic exercise (intense exercise may damage your joints). It isn't essential to join a gym; you can do sit-ups, pushups, dumbbell-lifting, jumping-jacks, and many other basic exercises at home. Walk as much as possible. Bicycling and swimming are good too.

The most important point is to avoid junk foods and sweetened drinks such as soda. Try to avoid refined flour and pasta, processed foods, fried foods, and fatty cuts of meat. Preferably consume no added sugar, and as little added salt as possible.

Our great-grandparents didn't have the epidemic of obesity we see today, because they had a less-sedentary lifestyle, a much more natural diet, and they ate reasonably-sized portions.

Eat 3 not-large-portioned meals per day; do not skip breakfast; and avoid sugary snacks. If you want a snack, try (for example) an apple or a handful of unsalted nuts.

Limit your calories (best to consult a doctor or nutritionist concerning the amount), and weigh yourself at the same time each day, 2-3 times per week. If you see your weight diminishing at a safe, reasonable rate (1-2 pounds/week), keep it up.

Once you've reached your goal, increase your calorie intake somewhat, so that you can maintain your present weight. And you can then have small amounts of sweetened foods or junk food on occasion (if at all), along with your regular healthy foods. But keep checking your weight 2-3 times/week.

Avoid crash-diets, fad diets, diet pills, etc. These may be harmful, and need not be considered by people who have adopted an otherwise healthy diet.

More guidelines:
Don't concentrate on specific foods so much as on a balanced, healthy diet plus exercise.

Healthy nutrition means eating what your body needs, while ingesting as few harmful things as possible. It has also been described as getting enough of each of the major food categories, in healthy forms (grains, fruits, vegetables, protein, dairy, etc.; plus plenty of water).

In general, an example of a healthy starting point could be a menu of whole-grain foods and bread, a good amount of vegetables, legumes, some fruits and nuts, fish, lean meats in not-large amounts, and some dairy. However, this may need adjusting according to one's lifestyle, age, health, weight and other factors at the outset; and also later, as one sees what works for him/her in particular.

Also...whenever you feel queasy, nauseous, constipated or otherwise not completely well, try to remember what you've eaten over the last several hours or the last day. This is one factor in adjusting one's food habits.
