I have never made one but if you look up on YouTube, "How to make a decent Breyer western saddle", and it should pop up some videos for you, you can also buy some
An amazing site is riorondo. they have a 25$ kit that you make, and depending on how you make it, it can be live show quality. even if you want a "show quality" saddle, after you make it, you have a sense of accomplishment. the $25 is for a traditional saddle kit. i made a second one, and won first place in a local craft show.
Type it in on Youtube. It really helps!
go to youtube and type the same questen ive got a vid on there

a saddle horn is on a western/american saddle
It's called a cinch on a western saddle.
The main difference is that a Western saddle has a horn, while an English saddle does not.
well using a saddle while ridding is a lot safer than riding bareback (saddle). for beginners, they use a western saddle because of the horn. if your horse or what ever your ridding rears you can hold on with that.
Of course you can. But most Western riders use a sitting trot. But when you trot, make sure you are on the right diagonal. :)
There are over 20 parts to a western saddle. Which 4 do you want to know?
I would do a close contact saddle or for western, a tree less saddle
You can use a western saddle on any breed of horse or pony providing they have been trained in western riding.
