All your have to do is take out the simms card and memory card and get new ones
I had to do that because i thought it had gotten stolen so i reported it and then i found it and thats what i did

That depends on what the phone company does on being told it's stolen. If they simply disconnect the phone from their network - it's possible for it to be used on another network. HOWEVER - if they block the IMEI number (which is unique to EVERY mobile device) - the phone cannot be used on ANY network - nor can it be unlocked, or the block removed.

If the phone you have was stolen, in theory, it would not be possible for you to connect to any provider in the US. Mistakes happen though. If you are turly curious, you can contact any service provider and ask them to check the "Bandit List." This is an industry term for the national list of stolen phone ESN's. This is just a little tid bit for anyone out there. If your signing up on a contract and you purchase a really nice smart phone through a company for only $99.00 or $199.00, we'll folks ALWAYS READ THE FINE PRINT. That is only the down payment for the next two years. So buyer beware when buying a used phone from pawn shops, ( because most of the time they don't have that information ) people off the streets, adds in the newspapers. Take my advice and GO to a place that deals in new and used cellular phones, you will thank yourself for it!

Did you get a TITLE to the "stolen" car? If not, the you sorta assumed the risks. Was it actually stolen at the time of sale or just not removed from the list after being recovered?
