∙ 12y agoCurrently, Pottermore is not open to all of the public. In order to have an account now, you must be a beta tester who registered during the Magical Quill challenge in July 2011. Initially, Pottermore was supposed to out of beta in October but it has been delayed since then.

∙ 12y agoYou can't yet, the Pottermore site is still in Beta and they are still making improvements on the site, however, if you go to pottermore.com you can sign up to get an email when it opens to the public.

∙ 9y agoIn September 2015 the Pottermore website was completely redesigned and relaunched. The website no longer has user accounts and is able to browse freely.
Previously to join Pottermore you would take the following steps:
Go to the website and in the top right hand corner you will see a blue button that says sign up. Click on that button and follow the steps. Note that Pottermore did not allow you to choose your own username. You were given a choice of generated usernames to pick from as the site is aimed at children of all ages and that helped protect them.

∙ 9y ago1 billion people who successfully completed the Magical Quill Challenge between 31st July and 5th August 2011 were allowed early access to Pottermore as beta testers. The site then opened to the public in April 2012.

I found that the only way you can do this is by logging out of the one you're currently using and then creating a new one but using a new email address. Unfortunately if you link it with Twitter or Facebook you can not have a secondary account.

Pottermore IS the ultimate Harry Potter experience... coming from a Beta user from early signup. Its amazing. If you don't have an account, I suggest getting one in October when it opens to the public.

Both the wand and sorting quizzes can only be taken once per account. You can request an account deletion and register again.

When you get to the Diagon Alley chapter, double click, twice, on the crowd to make them move away. There is a tall white building ahead - that's Gringotts. You have to click the door.
