How do you create a folder on an iPad?

1) First have at least two apps that you want to categorize

2) tap and hold on one of the apps (this will cause the apps to jiggle and a little x to appear in the right hand corner)

3) drag one of the two apps that you want to categorize on top the other app that you want int e same category.

4) This will create a folder and from here you can edit the name of your folder (apple usually gives a suggested title based on the type of apps you put together.

5) To finalize this process jsut click the home button.

To add more apps....

1) Tap and hold on the app you want to add

2) When the app starts jiggling drag in into the already created folder

3) hit the home button

and it's in your folder.

* you can add up to 12 apps in the same folder.

To rename a folder:

1)Open the foler (by tapping on it)

2) Then when the apps are jiggling you will be able to tap ont he folder's name and edit the name.

Take the first two apps you want to put in the same category together and drag one on top of each other in the home screen. In order to do this tap and hold on one of the apps until you see it moving then take the moving app and place it on top of another app that you want in the folder. You will see that this creates a folder. From here you can name the folder as well. To add more apps all you have to do is drag more apps into the folder (until a maximum of 12 apps in a folder, then you will have to start a new folder.) If you want to rename your folder tap on it to open it and then tap and hold on one of the apps in the folder. This will highlight the folder's name and then you can change it.

Press and hold on an app's icon for a second or two and all the icons will start shaking. Drag one of the icons that you want on top of another icon. The lower icon will expand a little to accept the new icon. Release the icon you are dragging and it will create a folder with both the icons in. The folder can be given an appropriate name. Repeat the process to drag other items you want grouped together in the same folder.

Go to one of your apps. Put your finger down on it and hold, like you are pressing down on something. Your apps should start to shake back and forth. Once they start, you can lift your finger. Now drag your apps around onto other apps. For example, dragging temple run onto angry birds. If you do this you will see that the apps will go into a new folder. This folder will be open on your screen. While the apps are still shaking you can continue to move apps into folders with others. You can also rename your folders.

When you are done, press the home button at the bottom/ side (depending on which way you are holding it) and the apps will stop shaking and you can go into your folders and apps.
