It is impossible to make a brown dye. Period. You can only make dyes like red, blue yellow. But you are able to mix it into different colors. Except BROWN!
Well my friend that is wrong. You CAN make brown dye.
ORDER: make orange dye then add red.
NOTE: Brown Goblin Mail can be found in a crate in the west of goblin village.
Correction! Unlike what they said up there i bet you can make brown dye cuz i used my goblin mail from the crate and dyed it >< but when u mix orange and red it does nothing! i personally tried it! if u dont believe me ask spongeekat on runescape! but i just went on too and bought brown goblin mail on the exchange!

∙ 14y agoYou can't make brow dye in Runescape, if you are doing the "Goblin Diplomacy" quest, kill goblins the original mail should be brown.

I think you are mistaking the orange color for brown. The orange do really look like brown on normal capes. Anyways, mix red dye with yellow dye for orange dye. When you use the orange dye on a normal cape, you will get your " brown" cape.
