Minerals are pure crystallized compounds. A rock can be a collection of minerals. For example the rock granite is composed of the minerals mica and feldspar. It is all a matter of definitions.

In truth geothermal forces are responsible for both minerals and rocks. Minerals are not responsible for rock, the term is merely descriptive.

Yes, minerals are made up of different combinations and structural organizations of elements. All minerals are inorganic and have a specific chemical composition, distinct physical properties (color, hardness, luster, etc.) and crystalline structure.

Are you asking "How to make metals from minerals" or "How do you make alloy metals from adding other minerals."

Different metals exist in different forms in nature. Most common state is in the form of oxides. and the metal is seperated from the oxides by reduction with the help of a suitable agent.

Or for the second question: simply add the require minerals in molten or solid state to the base metal in molten state.

Rocks are made up of at least one or more minerals. Minerals inside of a rock are held together by chemical bonds.
