There is a patch for XP which seems to make it work on Vista as well. See the links below.
You should be able to, though you may need to look up on the specific kind of guide.
I'm on vista right now and I have the same problem, there is no way to fix this until Jagex decides to release a vista compatible version of High-Detail Runescape.

There is a windows vista freeware that you can download and use. Simply search dreamrender for windows vista freeware and you should come across it.
Use the compatibility mode win 95...
The easiest method is to verify with the vendor that the application downloaded will work on Vista. You are running Vista on a 32bit computer the application might have a chance to work, you can make software applications run on Vista by setting the compatibility mode to an older version of Windows. If you are running Vista on a 64bit computer the application will not work at all. The application will need to be a 64bit application and vista compatible.
Nero does work on Windows Vista.
If you work for Jagex, then yes. I highly doubt that you work with Jagex, though.
If you have a Windows Vista Home Premium it comes with Power2Go. Ifyou want to make a movie then if you have a Windows Vista Home Premium it comes with muvee 8.1
Maplestory will work on any Vista computers as long as they are not 64bit.
Make sure java is installed if that doesn't work you can download runescape client and see if that will work.
