There are many marketing strategies used to make people desire things they wouldn't otherwise desire under normal circumstances.

But people like whatever they like and you should respect that before the 'someone' in question no longer feels valued by you since you're trying to change them/make them like something they don't like.

What you should really do is make sure that the person is in a good mood. Then, do them a favor (or something like that), and after you are done, ask them if they could do you a favor.

you trick them in to doing it or you ask them to do it and then you do something for them that you don't want to do. Also in my case being in school ask a teacher to get involved.
